In puberty it was still ok. After all, everyone had pimples. But now? Even after your 30th birthday party, it doesn't look good.

You have blemished skin at 30 and no idea what else you could do? Often it is the little things that can help to say goodbye to pimples and blackheads.

Because let's be honest: puberty is long gone now it's really time for an even complexion.

After all, you now have a whole lot of other worries than fretting over pimples and blackheads.

We'll give you a few tips to finally get your skin problems under control.

How to best care for blemished skin at 30

If you're 30 or even above and keep noticing blemishes on your skin, then your face and décolleté need very special care.

Impure skin face

1. use only mild care products

Even though you may not want to admit it: At 30, our bodies are very different than they were at 20. The Skin reacts much more sensitive and more sensitive to care substances.

You may notice this if you have been using a cream for a long time and never had any problems with it and all of a sudden you get pimples from it.

Therefore, you should only use very mild cleansing and light care products. In no case creams that clog the pores.

Make sure you don't use an oily cream that will clog your pores again. Because I have blemished skin myself, I know how you feel. I have not found a cream that meets my expectations 100%ig. Every time I use it, my pores get clogged all over again.

I recently started using a tonic spray instead of a cream. It absorbs quickly and is much lighter than creams. I currently have this Face spray against impure skin in use and am very satisfied with it. Give it a try, it's not expensive and definitely worth a try!

2. reach for scrubs

You don't see it, but on the surface of your skin there are whole many dead skin flakes. And all over the body. The only nasty thing is that pimples are particularly likely to appear on the face.

So you have to remove these skin flakes regularly. Otherwise, it can happen that the pores clog and you already have the salad.
You should exfoliate about 1x per week.

Tip: Try the face mask with Tea tree oil* and Exfoliating effect of Australian Bodycare from Amazon!

3. reach for care for combination skin

If you have blemished skin at 30, it's most likely combination skin. This means that you have two skin types in one have. The activity of the sebaceous glands varies.

The T-zone, i.e. forehead, nose, chin, is prone to impurities. The cheeks are dry, sometimes even already flaky and pimple-free.

Care products for combination skin are made exactly for this purpose. They moisturize and inhibit sebum production.

With creams, you have to make sure that the label "non-comedogenic" is on it. This means that your pores will not be additionally clogged.

4. clean your face regularly

Even if you haven't sweated or otherwise exerted yourself during the day, you should keep your Clean face every day. Because during the day and night your skin produces excess sebum.

This sebum clogs the pores. The result: pimples and blackheads.

Always use lukewarm water for facial care.

There is a whole range of ways to combat impurities. In any case, it must be a solution that helps to open the pores. Only then can the sebum drain away.

In this way, you take away the breeding ground for subterranean pimples in advance.

Personally, a blackhead remover helps me very well. With the help of a light vacuum, blackheads and sebum are sucked out of the skin. And completely painless.

Fortunately, the redness goes away very quickly. I recommend a blackhead remover, which I use myself. Here you can choose from 5 suction strengths and several attachments and simply suck away blackheads.

5. renounce these products

There are plenty of skincare products and makeup that can really clog up your skin. These include all products that Beeswax* or mineral oil.

Other products contain preservatives and fragrances. All this can really upset impure skin at 30.

Why unhealthy diet causes blemished skin at 30

Stress, little sleep, alcohol and nicotine - all this is poison for the skin. Especially in the long term.

However, not everyone reacts the same way to the same triggers. That's why you should definitely observe yourself. When do you get pimples? Write down what you ate the day before when you notice that your skin is getting worse.

Did you eat a lot of sugar and carbohydrates yesterday? Let yourself go? Yes, unfortunately, these very treats are often responsible for blemished skin at 30.

Try to avoid sugar and white flour for 2 months. At least as far as it is possible. Do you notice a difference?

Milk promotes inflammation in the body. It can contribute to acne flare-ups. Replace milk with almond or oat drinks and watch your skin.

Good fats are found in nuts, cold-pressed oils or avocados. They are important for beautiful skin.

It's different with hydrogenated fats, which you'll find in margarine, donuts, and anything deep-fried. These bad fats clog pores and promote inflammation.

For you, that means reducing sugar, white flour, dairy and unhealthy fats.

Why hormones play a role

Or is it the hormones? If so, you get blemished skin about a week before your period. This is when the hormone levels in our body change particularly dramatically.

The skin produces more sebum, becomes greasier and we get a craving for sweets and unhealthy things. Which in turn promotes pimples.

Hormone fluctuations ensure that the sebaceous glands become more sensitive. The male hormones in particular - which every woman has - are responsible for sebum production.

Even after stopping the pill, many women's faces really start to bloom. Pimples and blemishes everywhere. It can take a few months until the hormone status in the body is back in balance. Until then, you will most likely have to deal with some blemishes.

Then dab Tea tree oil* with the cotton swab directly on the pimple.

But much gentler is the care set from Australian Bodycare. This is a line of products that Tea tree oil* contains. It has a disinfectant and soothing effect on the skin.

I use the Anti pimple cream with tea tree oil itself for a short time and am just trying out how it works on my skin. Overall, I can say after 7 days but already that the skin is less greasy, which is already a very good start in the fight against pimples. :)

Why you need to drink a lot for clear skin

Take yourself by the nose! How much do you really drink per day? We women tend to drink far too little. But it is soooo important for all processes in the body. Because without water nothing really works.

Digestion becomes lame, metabolism lags behind. The skin collapses and looks flabby and our body remains on the toxins.

So: You really need to drink enough if you want to have beautiful skin. And not sodas or anything like that.

Water and unsweetened herbal teas are optimal. You should drink at least 1.5 liters per day. Try 2 liters per day for a month. You will see how much more beautiful your skin becomes. And all this without expensive care products.

If pure water is too boring for you, you can add lemon, orange and mint. Ginger also tastes wonderful with tap water.

Good and bad ideas for skin care over 30

There are many good ideas that can help you get your skin problem under control. But there are also tips that you should definitely stay away from. In short, anything mild is a good idea.

Impure skin at 30 - This really helps

A steam bath with chamomile is wonderful for skin impurities. The warm steam opens the pores. This allows the excess sebum to drain away.

Chamomile has an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect. Very important: Clean the face before and after with a mild care foam.

Baby powder can help soak up excess sebum.

If you need a quick fix and your face is shiny right now, baby powder is a quick and easy option. The talc in the powder reduces sebum production and makes pores smaller.

Clay is a good and natural remedy for impure skin at 30, and a mask made of clay works on several levels at once.

On the one hand, it inhibits inflammation that you already have. And on the other hand, it prevents new pimples, because it absorbs the excess sebum. 2-3 drops Tea tree oil* in the mask have an additional disinfectant effect.

Skin blemishes at 30

The pimple is already there or is just forming? Then it's time to cool it down. Ice cubes or cooling pads relieve the redness and swelling. But never apply the ice directly to the skin, as this can lead to irreparable damage.

You can also use salt water to get rid of impure skin. On the one hand, it loosens dead skin cells and prevents clogged sebaceous glands. And on the other hand, salt disinfects. Mix 2 tablespoons of sea salt with 0.2 liters of lukewarm water. Apply the tincture with a cotton pad, leave it on for 2 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water.

You should keep your hands off this

Toothpaste, lemon and pressing on the pimple are very bad ideas.

Toothpaste was long considered the tip par excellence for inflammation on the face. The reason for this was the zinc it contains, which is supposed to dry out pimples. Unfortunately, most toothpastes today no longer contain zinc. So in the worst case, you make the inflammation really bad.

Lemons are also not suitable for impure skin at 30. The acid irritates your skin and irritates it even more. Existing inflammations start to burn and become really red.

And squeezing pimples is never a good idea anyway. No matter if you are 15 or 30 years old. The sebum does not only come to the surface by squeezing, but is also distributed in deeper skin layers. You also bring bacteria into the wound and scars form. If you can't keep your hands off the pimple and squeeze it out, it will take a total of 40 (!) days for your skin to fully recover from it.

Why smoking promotes blemished skin at 30

Smoking is also a very stupid idea. It damages your whole body. And your skin. Because the poison in the cigarette constricts the blood vessels.

But our skin needs plenty of nutrients and oxygen to stay beautiful and pure. Due to the narrow vessels, the transport of nutrients and oxygen cannot function properly. As a result, cell renewal is disturbed and runs much slower.

That is why many chain smokers have such bad skin. You can often see it from a distance.

Those who have blemished skin and smoke at the age of 30 have often been using cigarettes for 15 years. Sooner or later, this simply leaves a lot of consequences. You can read one of them directly in your face.

Impure skin at 30 years

Our conclusion

Impure skin at 30 needs special care with mild products. Avoid acidic creams and lotions. Take off your make-up every day and ideally even do without make-up altogether.

If you drink enough and eat healthy, the problem should go away. If not, then you will not get around a dermatologist.

Get well soon!
