What castor oil actually is

Before that, let's take a quick look at what you're actually about to put in your hair, on your nails, or on your face. Castor oil is extracted from the seeds of the miracle tree.

By the way, the shell of the seed is toxic and is neutralized only by a special manufacturing process.

After the seeds are hulled and cold pressed, the oil is ready for use.

Fun fact: Many centuries ago it was used as fuel for oil lamps or for internal use. It supposedly drains really well (oh dear!!).

I use the oil cosmetically, that is, for external use. For this I use only cold-pressed organic oil. With these products is namely sure that all valuable ingredients are still present.

Castor oil is colorless to slightly yellowish, has a slight odor and it is very very tough! At first glance, it does not really seem like a miracle cure. But I had to be taught better!

Because the oil is an absolute highlight.I have several months tested the effect on skin, nails, hair and eyelashes. And find that Castor oil (so it is also called) should be a fixed part of every beauty routine.

Of course, it takes a little time until the first results become visible. But staying with it is absolutely worth it! The results are really great. In addition, the whole fun costs you no more than 10 €. And that is really unbeatable :)

There are thousands of manufacturers of castor oil. Since you apply the oil directly to your skin, hair and nails, you should make sure that it is of sufficient quality.

How to care for hair with castor oil

A full, flowing and shiny head of hair. Every woman dreams of this. Because healthy and well-groomed hair not only looks really beautiful. They also stand for health and vitality.

Some lucky people are already blessed by nature with strong hair. And then there are specimens like me. Thin, fine hair. Already at the sight of hairdryer and co. they split to the crown. Years of bleaching gave them the rest.

Since I have been caring for them with castor oil, they have become noticeably fuller, grippier and healthier. Since a cure with the viscous oil is somewhat cumbersome, I apply it only once a week. And that is also totally enough. :)

Castor oil: nourish hair with a cure

Before you start with the cure, brush your hair really thoroughly. So that no more knots are in the hair. During this time, the oil can be warmed in a water bath. So it becomes more liquid and is easier to apply.

Put a towel around your shoulders, because the oil can stain your clothes. Now dip your fingers into the castor oil and massage it really thoroughly on your scalp. This will additionally stimulate hair growth.

It is enough to distribute the oil at the roots. Then tie up the hair and wrap a towel around it. The oil should be left on for at least 2 hours. If you like, leave it on your head overnight.

The hair must then be washed 2-3 times so that the oil really dissolves. Already after washing you can see a first difference. In addition, less hair falls out, which is why the hair with time also becomes much fuller.

Castor oil: care for hair daily

In the trade there are also already care products with castor oil. But these often contain parabens or silicones, which is why the hair is not ideally cared for. Who has found a great shampoo, can still add a few drops in the hair wash.

In this way, the hair is maintained with every wash. Whether this is something for you, you must of course decide for yourself. My fine hair is thereby much faster greasy, which can also not be in the spirit of the inventor. :)

For very damaged hair, you can also massage a little castor oil on the scalp 2 hours before each shampoo. If you use a few drops Rosemary oil*, hair growth is stimulated even more. Coconut oil* in the tips provides additional care.

What to look for when using castor oil for eyelashes and full brows

What works on the head, also works on the face. Here, too, you can care for the hairs with castor oil. Through the oil, eyelashes and brows are ideally supplied with moisture. For this reason, the hairs do not fall out so quickly.

They grow back more resistant and stronger. As a result, eyelashes and brows already look noticeably fuller and longer after 3-4 weeks! So leave the fingers of overpriced serums. The results through the Castor oil are really great.

The application is very easy. After removing makeup, simply apply the oil to the eyelashes and brows. You can do this with a cotton pad or a cotton swab. I fill the oil here purely and then apply it:

Nothing can happen if the oil gets into the eye. You will only see a little blurry. Therefore, you should do this procedure right before going to bed. The next morning, simply clean with water.

The first noticeable results on the eyelashes you see after 3-4 weeks. My brows have become denser even faster. This also means more frequent plucking but you can cope with that well. :)

Castor oil: hair, eyelashes and eyebrows it makes supple and soft. Our nails, on the other hand, become much stronger and harder. Vitamin E contained in the oil moisturizes and nourishes the nail bed and nails well.

If you also tend to brittle nails, I can only recommend the care with castor oil. The results you can notice quite quickly after 1-2 applications. So that the effect does not fizzle out, you should apply the oil once a week.

The application is relatively unspectacular. Your nails should be cleaned, free of nail polish residues and already have your desired length. Then you put a towel underneath, take a cotton pad and apply the oil to the nails.

Castor oil is very productive. Therefore, a few drops of the miracle oil is totally enough. Be aware that it takes quite a while for the oil to be absorbed. So an evening in front of the TV is the best choice for this beauty routine. :)

Castor oil for skin: effective against wrinkles and dark circles under the eyes

Our miracle product can even be applied to the skin. It stimulates collagen production, thus reducing wrinkles and restoring the skin's elasticity. Fine lines on the forehead and around the eyes are thus minimized.

For each application with castor oil already a few drops are enough. The oil is very rich. However, this also ensures that it is poorly absorbed. For this reason, it makes total sense to use the viscous oil only in the evening.

For the hair, eyelashes and wrinkles, it may take a while before the first successes appear. Since the oil is absorbed through the skin and the cells are renewed only gradually.

The perseverance is nevertheless totally worth it. Especially if you compare the oil with the usual drugstore products. It is not only much (!!) cheaper, but also much more effective and saves space in the bathroom.

You can easily purchase the oil via the Internet. You can find my favorite below. But also in health food stores or pharmacies you can find the castor oil. Price is about 3-4 euros for 100ml.

If you buy the oil from a pharmacy, you should ask whether the castor oil is cold-pressed. This is important so that it can develop its caring properties and all valuable ingredients remain contained.

After opening the oil is durable in something 6-8 months. If you use it regularly for your hair, eyelashes, eyebrows, nails, pimples and wrinkles, you will be fine. The contained vitamin E prevents the oil from becoming rancid.

My conclusion

It comes without artificial additives, it works totally convincing, it is productive and cheap. This makes castor oil one of the best cosmetic products that I have ever tried.

Especially the results with my hair, eyelashes and the nasty dark circles are fantastic. Thus, there is actually not much to say, except: Try it out absolutely, let yourself be surprised and convinced. :)
