Craving chocolate? Now you can satisfy them in a healthy way, without chocolate. You'll love this Whipped Cocoa recipe!

All are addicted to Dalgona coffee. At least that's how it feels to me when I look at my Instagram feed. Here a creamy coffee, there a creamy coffee.

But is there an alternative for those who are not coffee fans and like it chocolaty?

Yes, there is! Namely Whipped Cocoa - by the way, also called Whipped Chocolate or Cocoa Whipped Cream.

Mega chocolaty and creamy comes the sugar-free Dalgona Chocolate Drink. Perfect for sunny warm days on the balcony.

So by no means: cocoa is only for children. You'll love this cool and refreshing drink! That's why Whipped Cocoa is going viral on TikTok, Instagram and co!

Why you should use baking cocoa

Have you ever looked at the packaging of regular breakfast cocoa? It contains more sugar than Cocoa powder*.

I use instead Baking cocoa*. It colors the Whipped Cocoa dark brown and tastes much more chocolaty than conventional cocoa ever could.

I find the slightly bitter note particularly delicious. Often you find Baking cocoa* also known as raw cocoa or raw cocoa powder.

If you're not a fan of the bitters, add a little bit of Erythritol* or Birch sugar* in addition. This is much healthier than household sugar. It also saves calories and is not so bad for your teeth.

So in the Whipped Cococa recipe I use. Erythritol*. However, you can also replace it with Birch sugar* or replace normal sugar.

Dalgona Cocoa Preparation

Thanks to Erythritol*, cream, milk and cocoa, this recipe is also suitable for a low-carb diet.

Everything you need for Whipped Cocoa:

Give the Cocoa powder* with the sugar and cream in a bowl. Beat the mixture with a mixer. This may take a while, be patient and stir until everything is nice and creamy.

Taste the cream. If you like, you can now add more cocoa or sugar.

Put the ice cubes in a glass, fill up with milk and pour the chocolate cream on top of the milk. I use a piping bag to apply the cream nicely. But it is also enough if you just use a spoon.

And your cocoa is ready!

How to refine your Whipped Cocoa

If you like, you can also treat yourself to a scoop of chocolate ice cream in Whipped Cocoa. But be careful not to take too much, as this will destroy the healthy effect of the drink. By the way, it is no longer a low carb Whipped Cocoa with ice cream. But there you can also turn a blind eye :)

And for those who love both cocoa and coffee, add a little coffee to the milk and the chocolate cream on top. Ready is the Whipped Cocoa Dalgona coffee.

There are countless possibilities and variations. I would like to present you a few inspirations here.

What you can replace milk with in Whipped Cocoa

Whole milk, skim milk or long-life milk? It doesn't matter, you can use any type of milk. Skim milk has the fewest calories, if that matters to you.

But you can also prepare Whipped Cocoa vegan. For this, you simply take almond milk instead of milk.

This has the advantage that the milk already has a sweet taste. So you do not need to sweeten the cream additionally.

Hazelnut milk also tastes mega and brings a delicious nutty flavor to the glass.

Make the Whipped Cocoa vegan

Cream is not good for your stomach? Then simply replace it. Oat cream, coconut cream, soy cream and rice cream can be whipped just as wonderfully.

However, they should stand in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours beforehand. Using a hand mixer, whip the cream on high speed for at least 3 minutes. In the supermarket, make sure that the substitute can be whipped. There is a notice on most products.

Cinnamon in the cocoa cream

The smell of Cinnamon* remembers Christmas? Cinnamon* But it also tastes delicious on warm days. Especially in combination with Cocoa powder*.

The spice ensures that you need to add less sugar to the Whipped Cocoa. Give it a try!

Where the Whipped Cocoa trend comes from

No one really knows. But after Dalgona Coffee went pretty steep on TikTok, many were looking for an alternative for the bitter-sweet coffee. Even if it sounds unbelievable, there are actually some people who are not big coffee fans.

Whipped Cocoa was invented precisely for them. The trendy drink is chocolatey, fluffy and mega delicious.
