Ingredients for one Dalgona coffee

  • 125 ml milk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee
  • 1 tablespoon hot water
  • Optional: ice cubes

If you want to have a warm Dalgona Coffee, you should first heat the milk.

I prefer to do this in the microwave. Just 1 minute is enough and the milk is lukewarm - my absolute favorite!

If you want to drink your Dalgona coffee cold, mix the milk with ice cubes. This is optimal on very hot days.

So: Now you have to decide: cold, hot and milk type. Once this step is done, your frothy coffee will be on the table in 3 minutes.

2. whip the Dalgona cream

Mix sugar, instant coffee and hot water together.

Important: The water must be really hot, because only then will the coffee powder and sugar dissolve. This does not work so well with cold water. The cream will also not be as stable.

Now grab your blender and whip up the three ingredients. Be patient, this may take a minute. Whip the coffee at full blender power to speed up the process. This will stir air into the mixture, which will ensure that the foam is created.

After only about 30 seconds, the consistency should change noticeably. The coffee becomes fluffy and bright.
