Do you know Foodspring? We have tested Shape Shake, Daily Vitamins, Whey Protein, Porridge and more. Are the products really worth it? And how do they taste at all? This is our Foodspring experience with fitness nutrition.

Have you also heard so much about Foodspring? The best advertisement for it is a friend of mine. She raves about it all the time - she's especially taken with the Shape Shake.

About every 2 months she orders products from Foodspring. The products are not exactly cheap. I can get the same thing for half the price from other companies. Or?

What is the difference? How does it taste and what are the benefits? And should you rather save the money or order something?

Now it's time for a big Foodspring test.

We've taken a look at the products. This is our Foodspring experience.

You don't have to wait long before you see ads for it on Instagram and the like. I let myself get carried away this time, click on the ad and land directly on the website. A package of different products is quickly clicked together and ordered.

Two days later, the package is on the doorstep. Everything is nicely wrapped and the individual products wrapped with paper - so that nothing can happen to the contents. To the ordered supplements I find in the package also vouchers and a premium shaker.

Tip: Look first stop by the Foodspring Online Shop and then read our review. This way, you can already get an idea of each product and then specifically read the review. Because admittedly: It is really very comprehensive.

Foodspring experience: our test

Because no one can test and eat all the products at the same time, we split up. Each could choose their favorites.

As a chocoholic, Lisa Vegan protein with chocolate flavor grabbed, Sophie the Whey Protein with coconut, Lydia the Recovery Aminos with berry flavor and Kristina the Shape Shake Vanilla. The protein bars we have all nibbled. :)

We have put together a mix across the range. For every order with powder (Whey, Shape Shake, etc.) there's a free shaker. This time, however, we have treated ourselves to the premium variant. The special thing about it are the two unscrewable containers.

So you can portion the powder already in the morning, fill it into the containers and prepare the shake fresh. The small containers are simply screwed onto the bottle. The Blender Ball ensures that no lumps can form in the shake.

Foodspring Shape Shake in the test

Strawberry, chocolate, coconut, natural, raspberry or vanilla? So much choice - the decision could be difficult.

After a short vote, the decision of the flavor for our first Shape Shake was also already decided. We love vanilla. And although Lisa opted for the Shape Shake Test has decided, we all want to taste a little.

So it is quickly clear: The vanilla Shape Shake from Foodspring* ends up in the shopping cart.

After we placed the order, the Shape Shake was in the office within 2 days. The milk and water were already ready. The Shape Shake was waiting to be tasted. Packed in a large cardboard box, we find 750 grams of powder as well as the shaker.

The following text reflects Kristina's Shape Shake experience. She has tested and trained in 3 weeks.

Shape Shake Vanilla Packaging and Contents

The look of the packaging appeals to me very much. The simple design and also the feel are very natural and probably an allusion to the promise of Foodspring: "Only natural ingredients".

After removing the lid and a foil comes already when opening a pleasant vanilla smell. Visually, the powder reminds a little of Parmesan ;) 750 grams of very fine light yellow powder laugh at us when we open the Shape Shakes.

The Shape Shake and my shake talent

You get a shaker with every order. With the normal shaker you need a little more shaking power. With the Premium Shaker is already 3-4x shake. The shake ends up in the Premium Shaker, of course.

After all, my curiosity is great. At first, I shook like a madwoman - but the shaker never leaked. After the third time you then realize that so tight shaking is not necessary. :)

The Shape Shake powder dissolves really well. So far, I had only two times small crumbs in the shake. Back in the shaker - shake twice and they were gone.

Shape Shake flavor: milk, water or almond milk?

Vanilla 😍. I have tested the Foodspring Shape Shake with water, almond milk and with low-fat milk and created a ranking for you.

  • Third place goes to the Shape Shake with water. Somehow, this didn't knock us all off our feet. It tastes somehow boring despite the intense vanilla note.
  • Second place goes to the almond milk. The milk tastes of almonds and the Shape Shake of vanilla - so right these two tastes do not get along - the shake is even sweeter. Maybe I should try it again with oat milk.
  • 1st place goes to the Shape Shake with milk. It makes it creamy and ensures that the vanilla flavor really comes to the fore. If you shake firmly, you can also enjoy a small foam crown on the shake.

If the Shape Shake seems very sweet, you should simply use less protein powder. In our case, opinions are divided. But fortunately you can regulate the sweetness yourself. A little more milk or water will help.

The taste of the shake reminds me of my time as an 8-year-old. There's milk with strawberry, chocolate or vanilla flavor every day at school. :)

Shape Shake effect

The shake not only gives you a big serving of protein. The Shape Shake makes you full. So you automatically eat less. The pounds fall.

The proteins from the pasture milk strengthen your muscles. The inulin from the chicory root fills you up. And stevia provides the sweetness.

I drank the Shape Shake after the workout - that was always in the evening. Before the workout eat a snack and after the workout there's the shake. It really fills you up and I don't need anything else for the whole evening.

PS: The vanilla shake tastes so delicious that you already look forward to drinking it during the workout. Also a way to motivate yourself. Or?

My conclusion about the Shape Shake

Until the effect of the Shape Shakes occurs, it takes a little time, of course. Nothing happens overnight. But that should be clear to everyone. What you notice after a short time, however, is that you feel full after drinking. You save yourself one (to half) meal and many calories.

After 3 weeks, my Shape Shake test is over and I still have a little less than half of the powder. I must say, however, that I have used rather less than more, because I do not like it so sweet.

The Foodspring Shape Shake is the perfect workout companion for those who want to start training and get rid of a few kilos. Taste-wise there's only one thing to say: Delicious - thumbs up :)

Foodspring Whey Protein Experience

Also with Whey Protein you have the choice between vanilla, strawberry, raspberry, chocolate and coconut. Seasonally, there's always variety like mango, caramel, nut or coffee. I have chosen the Whey Protein Cocos. Particularly tasty: The protein powder also contains small coconut flakes. They make the shake a little crunchy.

The taste of Whey Protein Coconut immediately puts you in a vacation mood when you drink it. When I close my eyes after a workout and sit contentedly on the sofa, I'm so full of endorphins that I mentally beam myself to a beach and see myself sitting with a pina colada in my hands.

If the Whey Protein is too sweet for you, you can just use a little more water or milk. For me it is just right.

Effect Foodspring Whey Protein

The effect of the Whey Protein from Foodspring really surprised me. I've been focusing on my arm muscles for the past few months, working out every second to third day.

After training, I always treated myself to a Whey Protein Shake. And look: The muscles are growing - especially the biceps can be seen :) Now it's the turn of the triceps.

Shape Shake versus Whey Protein

Whatever you choose, both products have one thing in common. They all use milk from pasture-raised cows. For 328 days a year, the cows are fed New Zealand grass - so 100% plant-based. All Foodspring products are made in Germany.

For those who don't like it sweet, the products may seem sweet. Foodspring is sweetened with steviol glycosides. The Whey also contains sucralose.

When it comes to vegan protein powders, Foodspring is at the forefront. It's a great mix of pea, rice, hemp and sunflower protein.

Flavor Vegan Protein from Foodspring

Attention chocolate lovers: The Vegan Protein Powder tastes very chocolaty. But that it contains peas, but can not even hide the many chocolate. But that does not matter at all. At least not if you like peas.

The protein powder I have tasted with water and almond milk. With the water variant I just can not make friends. I prefer to stay with milk.

But as I said, you have to be a fan of peas. Because in the finish, the powder can not hide the little green vegetable. But there can be a small pinch Cinnamon* or Cocoa powder* help :)

Prepare the protein powder

Grab a tablespoon and you're ready to go. Mixed in a shaker with soy or almond milk, the protein powder dissolves well. If you put the powder in the shaker first and then the milk, it can happen that the powder sticks to the bottom despite shaking.

I have always done it this way: first a little milk, then the powder. Shake. And then milk again. With water, however, there is no such problem. It works perfectly. However, you can taste the peas from the water version even more clearly.

I have only tasted the Vegan Protein a few times. I only want to take it to me when I really train. So there is still nothing to see of muscles. But that is not due to the Vegan Protein or Foodspring - but to me. :)

My conclusion about Vegan Protein

Chocolatey. However, the pea flavor is undeniable. Personally, the Shape Shake tastes better. But perhaps it is also due to the flavor.

Recovery Aminos from Foodspring in the test

Lydia is in the process of getting really fit. She trains every other day. However, that takes a lot of strength. You feel drained and powerless. Recovery Aminos are supposed to help against this.

The Recovery Amino powder is drunk after training. It should quickly give you strength again.

400 grams of fine pink powder in a cylindrical tin.

The Recovery Aminos best from L-glutamine and BCAAs. For fast power after training provide dextrose and maltodextrin.

The more BCAAs the muscles have available, the better they can be built. The Branched Chain Amino Acids also promote fat loss. And L-glutamine helps you recover after a workout.

Pomegranate or wild berry? The decision also falls without thinking on forest fruit. I like it really fruity.

The smell after opening reminds a little of sherbet powder. The powder is pink and very finely ground. Tip: Do not smell it too hard. The Recovery Aminos powder is quite painful in the nose. But that's not what it's for :)

I scald it with water as described on the packaging. After asking Foodspring support, they tell me that it can also be mixed with milk.

The Recovery Aminos taste really like forest fruit and just really delicious. Slightly sweet and incredibly refreshing.

Amino effect

Do you know the feeling when your muscles are burning, you are sweating and really panting? That's exactly how I feel right now. Feeling with my last strength, I stir the Aminos with water. At first I notice nothing of the effect. Except that my thirst is quenched.

After a few minutes, however, it gets noticeably better. The strength returns. The muscles don't burn so bad anymore. Hopefully the soreness will not be so bad :)

My conclusion

Having Foodspring's Recovery Aminos on test pays off. Especially after a very intense workout, it is important to fill the water stores again.

Foodspring Daily Vitamins in test

Sophie opts for a full dose of vitamins to make her lifestyle a little healthier. This is Sophie's Daily Vitamins experience with Foodspring.

In a tin you will find 100 pieces of dark green fruit and vegetable capsules.

I never opened the capsules but took them as a whole. In the whole they had no taste. How it looks inside the capsule taste that I have tasted only 1x.

If you open the capsules, a very fine dark powder comes out. However, swallowing this without aids is anything but easy. It is best to take the closed vitamin capsules with a little fresh fruit and yogurt. This is how the Daily Vitamins taste best.

What's in the Daily Vitamins (ingredients)?

Vitamin A, D, E, C, B1, B2, B6, B12, niacin, pantothenic acid, folic acid, biotin. These vitamins come from apple and orange powder and spirulina algae. In a nutshell, only natural ingredients without artificial additives.

Effect of Daily Vitamins from Foodspring

Everyone knows that vitamins do not work overnight. I can tell you about the long-term effect when the package is empty. Then I'll deliver you a few more sentences. Promised :)

My conclusion about the vitamin capsules

Here are the promised rates: I have been taking one Daily Vitamins capsule a day. You can get by for 100 days. The advantage is that you don't have to think about getting enough fruit and vitamins every day. I just take the capsule in the morning with breakfast. Perfect in the stressful university and work day.

Admittedly: At first I had a hard time swallowing the vitamins. They are a relatively large. Sometimes you just have to trick yourself. Mixed with a banana swallowing the vitamins was suddenly no longer a problem. :)

Foodspring Creatine in the test

You want to build muscles in a short time? Creatine gives you strength, endurance and power for the muscles. However, you should not overdo it. Creatine is taken only for a short time.

Because we were all afraid of becoming muscle packs, one of our trainers Christofer was allowed to Creatine :) By the way, this fear is unfounded.

In the small, cylindrical package with a red plastic lid you will find 150 grams of white and fine powder. That's enough for quite a long time. Because per serving you take only one teaspoon of powder.

Creatine taste and preparation

The Creatine powder is simply dissolved in tap water and tastes quite neutral. The finish is slightly sweet.

It is best to put the powder into the glass first. Stir it with a teaspoon and water until it is completely dissolved. By the way, this works best if you use lukewarm water - then even the smallest crumbs disappear.

Does the Creatine from Foodspring work?

As I said, we let one of our guys taste. His comment: I was surprised how neutral the muscle building powder tastes. I always took the creatine in the evening. My goal was to build muscle properly.

If you take this powder, you need to exercise a lot. It ensures that you gain weight. If you do without a workout, you can quickly gain a few kilos - unfortunately not in muscles, but in life rings.

So whoever reaches for Creatine, it is best to have a precise training plan ready beforehand, to which he adheres very strictly.

My conclusion

Creatine is suspected of changing body odor. And yes, it really does. I don't want to go into too much detail right now.

But: The longer you take it, the more intense the smell of the body after exercise. For a short time you can stand over it, but longer time it is not recommended.

Creatine should not be taken continuously anyway, but only for the time in which you want to build up a lot of muscles quickly and briefly. This has been successful. I was surprised. The muscles are incidentally still there :) You just must not stop working out after taking it.

Foodspring Protein Pancakes

And what must not be missing, of course, is something sweet. Because you really deserve it after the workout. However, so that the effort and sweat were not in vain, you should also be a little careful when snacking.

The Foodspring Protein Pancakes are just right for us. The promise sounds tempting: Just add a little milk or water, put it in the pan and you're done. We have of course tested it and tell you here our protein pancakes from Foodspring experience.

The photos look very tempting. Since we have to taste probably or not all :) And we are already landed at our recipes part.

Preparation of the protein pancakes

  • 8 tablespoons pancakes powder
  • 150 ml milk or water

Mix the two ingredients carefully. You can also use the shaker for this purpose and hook the dough together :)

Give a little Coconut oil* in the pan and you're ready to go. The small pancakes only take a few minutes to cook.

First of all: If you have a look at the Foodspring homepage, you have a clear advantage.

At the first bite you expect a taste explosion. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The pancakes honestly taste a little empty.

When you take a look at the homepage, it immediately becomes clear why: Foodspring has created a recipe with the Protein Pancakes that you can enjoy both sweet and savory. So salmon and egg as well as berries and yogurt go well together.

We prefer it sweet. That's why next time I'll just use a little Cinnamon* Stir into the pancakes.

Foodspring Porridge in test

Since Lisa is our Schokotiger, she may also at the porridge. :) Here she shares her Foodspring experience with the chocolate porridge.

I had to make a real effort not to open the porridge right away. On the homepage of Foodspring it says: Ideal for the start of the day. It was just afternoon. The temptation was very strong. I persevered and made it through the day without porridge. The next day, however, it sweetened my start to the day.

The porridge is hidden in a yogurt cup with removable foil. You'll find 60 grams of chocolate powder and finely chopped oatmeal inside.

120 milliliters of hot water, stir, wait a short time and ready. How much do you think 120 ml is? Foodspring has placed a mark on the inside of the cup. Fill the hot water up to the line and you're done. After 2 minutes it becomes a solid paste - almost like pudding. The mark for the water is quite bright and easy to miss. But after a short search I discovered it.

Flavor chocolate porridge

Extremely chocolaty. The oatmeal is coarsely chopped. At first glance, the porridge seems almost a little like Cocoa powder* with oat flakes. The consistency is a little reminiscent of pudding. But this makes you feel full for a long time.

The porridge has a pleasant sweetness - yummy.

My conclusion

My experience with Foodspring porridge is positive. Porridge without cooking and without microwave I find great. Simply pour in hot water up to the mark, stir and wait a short time. Perfect when it has to go quickly in the morning again. For daily use, it is a bit expensive. But for morning muffle like me, as made. The protein porridge is available in several versions. Either the To Go variant or a can with 420 grams.

Drinking shakes all the time also gets boring in the long run. We have come up with a few recipes that bring great variety.

Grab some finely chopped fruit as decoration. We use mango, bananas and blueberries in the crêpe. On top there's a little honey. Yummy :)

Experience Foodspring Shape Shake Recipe

For the bottom layer you take Chia*-Pudding. To do this, mix Chia* Mix the seeds with milk and leave to stand for at least 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, put a handful of raspberries in a pot. Heat them and stir until you have mush.

Mix one tablespoon of Shape Shake powder vanilla with natural yogurt. Stir firmly and let stand a little.

On the Chia*-Add a few tablespoons of yogurt to the pudding layer. Spread the raspberry puree on top. Now add another layer of yogurt and a layer of fruit puree.

On the top layer I put a small spoonful of yogurt and decorate the Shape Shake recipe with Chia* Seeds :)

If you prefer it chocolaty, this recipe will please you.

Mix 1 teaspoon of Vegan Protein Powder with 2 tablespoons of rolled oats and pour in soy milk. To this you add a pinch of Cocoa powder*. Leave your protein overnight oats in the fridge for at least an hour.

In the meantime, you can wash and chop fruit as you like. We use strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and chopped hazelnuts in our dessert.

Foodspring Shape Shake Test

Now it's especially vanilla :) For this Foodspring recipe you take a natural yogurt, a large spoon Shape Shake Vanilla and also half a vanilla bean.

Mix firmly and add a tablespoon of rolled oats. Let stand for 15 minutes until the oatmeal is absorbed.

Put it in a glass. Decorate your Shape Shake dessert with bananas, blueberries and Chia* Seeds.

Shape Shake Foodspring Test

This is our Foodspring Shape Shake favorite :) Mix a large tablespoon of Shape Shake Vanilla, a tablespoon of rolled oats, a tablespoon of chia seeds and plain yogurt.

Let this mass rest for 15 minutes.

Fill this yogurt mixture into a jar. In a saucepan, heat a handful of raspberries until they are nice and liquid. Now pour this raspberry puree on top of the yogurt mixture.

On top a blob of yogurt shake mixture and a few oatmeal as decoration. Ready :)

Foodspring experience: Without dieting to the dream figure - is it possible?

This is what Foodspring advertises on its homepage. At the same time, however, they let us know that it does not work without a change in diet and exercise. While other manufacturers advertise with "Take the powder and you're slim", with Foodspring you are presented with facts right from the start.

However, those who exercise do not necessarily do so in order to lose weight. This can be seen on the Foodspring website quite well. There are three big categories "Get in shape = lose weight", "Get stronger = build muscle" or "Snack yourself fit = eat healthy". So whether you're a runner, strength athlete, hobby athlete, or just want to snack healthier - the assortment is huge.

With experts and the Body Check to the right products

In order to lose weight and get closer to your desired figure, you will be supported by nutrition experts. One can take the consultations by telephone and clarify all open questions.

Foodspring makes a very high-quality impression. Both on the homepage, the packaging and the products. We really like that the manufacturer discloses on the homepage where the ingredients come from. Everything is organic! We think that's really great! If you place a lot of value on organic, Foodspring is the right place for you. For people who only pay attention to the price, this brand is probably not the right choice. We are of the opinion: if dietary supplements, then high-quality.

The lids of the products (vitamins, creatine ...) have different colors - that's super convenient. We like the design that it is kept simple. So the Foodspring products are not overloaded with writing and pictures. Many other manufacturers can learn something from this!

Our experience with Foodspring is very positive. Because Foodspring has a holistic concept behind it. This is also evident in the expert advice and the great blog articles. It's not uncommon to have a lot of questions at the beginning of a workout or diet. Here, the trained nutritionists can help.

As they say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. It's best to order a small amount of the products and taste for yourself. From the protein powders and shape shakes there are always small sample packs that are enough for a shake. This can be very helpful to find the best taste for you.
