What you need to consider when dyeing eyelashes yourself

The color even lasts up to four weeks. However, there are some things to consider when coloring eyelashes yourself.
Do an allergy test first
Similar to hair dyes, many also contain Eyelash colors Allergens. These can cause severe reactions under certain circumstances.
Therefore, you should definitely test whether you tolerate the product before coloring. Simply apply a little of the coloring cream to the crook of your arm.

Find the right shade for you
When it comes to colors, you have a choice between brown and black. Which shade is suitable for you depends on your type.
If you are a darker type by nature, i.e. have dark hair and dark eyebrows, you can go for black without any problems.
If you belong to the lighter types, brown is the better choice. It looks a lot more natural.

Cream the skin around the eye
The thin skin around the eyes should not get any of the color. Wiping and rubbing away is particularly unpleasant.
Therefore, before dyeing eyelashes themselves, the skin must be treated with Vaseline* or one Fat cream be smeared.
This prevents the product from coming into contact with the thin skin. You can also place a cotton pad over the cream layer.
Dye only the upper and lower lash line
The hairs on the upper eyelid are darker than those on the lower eyelid. Nevertheless, you should dye your eyelashes above and below. This ensures a harmonious overall appearance.
Watch out when washing out the paint
When washing out the Dyeing product you have to be careful. Nothing at all should really get into the eye.
Therefore, squeeze your eyes as tightly as possible so that nothing gets in. If something does get into your eye, wash it out thoroughly immediately.

How to properly dye your eyelashes
If you have found the right shade for you, you can also start with eyelash tinting yourself.
For coloring you need about 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the practice. Of course, it's best if a friend can help you. This is much easier & faster than alone.
But even without a girlfriend and with a little practice you can quickly dye your eyelashes yourself. Just start with one eye first and only then dye the other.
Attention: Do not use normal hair color! This is much too aggressive and can cause skin irritation and bad allergic reactions.
First, though, you should set up a few things before you start:
- Eyelash Color
- Developer
- a container for mixing
- Paper Pad
- Cotton pads
- Watter Sticks
- a saline solution and
- an oily cream
Step 1
Before you even begin with the eyelash tinting itself, you should your eyes and eyelash hairs with a Saline solution degrease.
The entire area around your eyes should be clean and free of mascara or makeup residue. Simply put some saline solution on a cotton pad and gently rub over your eyes.
After that, with a cotton swab, apply some Fat cream on the skin under the eye. The cream should not get to the eyelashes. Otherwise, the coloring will not adhere well to the eyelashes later.
Once you have applied the cream, place a paper pad over it. The pad should hold by itself due to the fat cream. Make sure, however, that you do not cover the lower lash line.

Step 2
Now it's time to get down to business! It's the color's turn and your steady hand is needed.
Attention: Most of the time you have to Eyelash Color mix with a special developer beforehand. Just read the package insert carefully.
Dip a cotton swab into the color and calmly spread it generously on the upper and lower lashes.
Take your time and distribute the color carefully. The color should really be applied from the lash line to the tips.
It's best to always finish one eye first and then do the other. This way you can keep the eye closed while applying and you don't get any liquid in the eye.
If some color gets on your eyelid, you can simply clean it up with a clean cotton swab at the end.

Step 3
Now you have to wait. Depending on the package instructions, the eyelash tint must be left to work for five to ten minutes.
Do not open your eyes under any circumstances. Otherwise color will get into the eye. Just sit back, listen to some music and relax.

Step 4
All you have to do now is remove the paint. You also here especially carefully.
Place a large cotton pad on your eye and pull it away in one downward motion so that you pull the paper pad right off with it.
Repeat this step one or two more times to make sure all of the paint is really gone.
It works even easier if you dampen the cotton pad with lukewarm water.
Voilà, your perfectly colored eyelashes are ready. They are now darker and look fuller.
To get even more volume and momentum, you can of course still help out with mascara. However, you no longer need to apply as much mascara as before.
Whether dyeing eyelashes yourself is harmful
Properly applied, eyelash tinting is not harmful. However, if you work cleanly and accurately, you can strongly irritate your eyes when tinting eyelashes.
Most dyes contain chemical ingredients. Therefore, be especially careful and always check first whether you tolerate the product.
Simply put some of the dye in the crook of your arm and check after 30 minutes whether your skin reacts.
Be sure to use the eyelash pads that come with the product. They protect the eye. If you feel that your eyes are burning during the tinting process, wash off the color immediately and thoroughly.
