Couscous salad with feta to go

Whether as a light meal in the office, for a long Saturday brunch or for a picnic outdoors - couscous salad simply always goes.

Most ingredients do not suffer from being unrefrigerated for a short time. For many, the flavors then really come into their own. The best example is feta. If you let it warm up to room temperature before eating, it becomes creamier and tastes more intense.

But if you know your salad will be unrefrigerated for an extended period of time, omit the feta to be on the safe side.

To transport the couscous salad, simply put it in a Tupperware box with a lid or a jar with a tight-fitting closure.

How long can keep couscous salad

Couscous salad tastes best lukewarm. Or if you are a fan of intense flavor, you can put the salad in the fridge for 1-2 hours without the fresh herbs, so that it really soaks through.

If you prepare the couscous salad today and want to eat it tomorrow, that's no problem at all. It's best to put it in a tupperware box and put it in the fridge.

It is also good for transportation to work, university or for a picnic.

However, I would not eat it more than two days. Because then the fresh ingredients like tomatoes and cucumbers become mushy.

If you need to prepare it in large quantities, you can cook the couscous and refrigerate it. Add the fresh ingredients just before serving. Without fresh ingredients, you don't have to worry about day 3.

Our conclusion

It is not witchcraft to prepare a couscous salad with feta. This recipe is also suitable for beginners. You can refine the salad as you like, omit ingredients and add others. So you can eat couscous salad for 3 days and always have variety on your plate.

Enjoy! :)
