I'm sharing my secret with you! I have developed a recipe that is not only incredibly easy to make, but also tastes incredibly delicious. These brownies are moist, chocolaty and have a perfect balance between sweet and tart - just the way I like it.

Preparing these brownies without an oven is so simple that you'll wonder why you haven't tried it before.

Are you ready to immerse yourself in the world of no-bake brownies?

By the way: these little chocolate cakes don't just taste heavenly. They have a superpower!

This sweet is one of the most effective PMS recipes out there. But we'll look at that in more detail in a moment.

What ingredients do I need to make brownies without an oven?

Here I will tell you which ingredients you need to make this little chocolate cake. I'll also tell you how you can substitute the ingredients if you don't have any at home.

Dates

I always have dates at home because you can store them for a very long time without them going bad. Even if they are already hard and dry, it's not a problem - just soak them in water for a few hours.

If you don't have dates, you can replace them with dried figs. They have a similar, natural sweetness and the consistency is hardly any different. Dates can be replaced 1:1 with figs.

Raisins are also an option to replace dates. They are slightly sweeter, but also provide the necessary stickiness.

And then there's applesauce. However, this is a little more difficult because applesauce and dates are very different in consistency. For about 1 cup of dates, you can use 1⁄2 cup of applesauce.

However, as apple sauce is much more liquid and less sweet, the consistency of the no-bake brownies could suffer. I've only tried it with figs so far - that worked really well.

Walnuts and almonds

Nuts add bite and flavor to the cake. If you want to make brownies without the oven, they are extremely important for the consistency.

However, you can also substitute them if you don't have these two varieties to hand.

Substitute walnuts and almonds 1:1:

When substituting, of course, you also change the taste. The slightly bitter note of the walnuts is particularly good in the recipe. I would therefore only replace some of the walnuts.

Cocoa powder

At Cocoa powder* Many people think of the breakfast cocoa from their childhood. But this is completely the wrong ingredient. Breakfast cocoa is half sugar and that's exactly what we don't want in brownies.

Therefore, look for raw cocoa or Baking cocoa* around. In these packages you will find de-oiled Cocoa powder*, which is completely sugar-free.

It tastes slightly tart, super chocolaty and gets its sweetness from the dates.

And then there's the topping, which can be eaten in large quantities with a tablespoon. It's so incredibly delicious, you'll love it! You need bananas, almond butter and honey.

Bananas

Have you bought too many bananas again and are they already turning brown? Then you shouldn't throw them away. You can utilize ripe bananas very well and make these delicious No Bake PMS Brownies.

Ripe bananas are rich in nutrients such as vitamin C, B6, potassium and fiber. The riper they are, the more fructose they contain. They are therefore a wonderful and healthy source of energy.

Almond paste

Around this special time of the month, many women have an increased desire for sweet and fatty foods. With almond butter, you can satisfy your desire for more calories and do something good for your body.

Admittedly: Nut butter is quite expensive to buy. If you want to, you can It's easy to make your own almond butter.

Almond butter is rich in unsaturated fats, magnesium, iron and calcium. It also has a high protein content.

The nut butter is also said to have a positive effect on cholesterol levels.

Honey

Depending on how sweet the bananas are, you may need more or less honey. Sometimes you can leave it out completely. If you are vegan, you can replace honey with Agave syrup* or sugar beet syrup.

No bake brownies

Recipe: Super chocolaty brownies without the oven

Are you ready? Let's make these brownies without turning on the oven. All you need is a freezer and a regular coffee cup - for those who prefer to work with grams, I've written the details in brackets.

Ingredients for the cake base

  • 1 cup pitted dates (180 g)
  • 1 mixed cup of walnuts and almonds (130 g)
  • 2 TBSP. Baking cocoa*

Ingredients for the chocolate cream

  • 2 bananas
  • 1 TBSP. Baking cocoa*
  • 2 tablespoons almond paste
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Also: cup, spoon, powerful food processor*Tupperbox with lid or glass dish with lid.

Prepare the cake base

Pit the dates and put them in the food processor.

Pour in the walnuts and almonds.

And now this Cocoa powder*.

Blend on the highest setting until a uniform, sticky mixture is formed. You may have to scrape the mixture off the edge of the machine several times with a spoon. Small pieces of the nuts may still be visible.

Tip: If the dates are very hard, soak them in lukewarm water for about 15 minutes.

Pour the mixture into a mold that you can close with a lid. Spread it evenly over the base. Press it down firmly with a spoon or your fingers. If the mixture is very sticky, moisten the spoon slightly.

Prepare the chocolate cream

You don't need to wash out the food processor now. If there is some leftover dough in the machine, it doesn't matter.

Peel the bananas and put them in the food processor.

Add Cocoa powder*, almond butter and honey.

Blend the mixture until it is nice and fluffy and no banana pieces are visible.

Spread the chocolate mousse evenly over the cake base.

Put the brownies in the freezer

To make the chocolate cream firm, place the cake in the freezer for 30 minutes. Now the two layers combine and the cream becomes firmer.

It should have a firmer consistency, but not be completely frozen.

Now cut them into small pieces. And the brownies are ready without the oven!

How long do No Bake Brownies keep for?

The shelf life and storage method depends on how far along you prepare the brownies. You can keep the pure "batter" ready-made in the fridge for 3-5 days.

Make sure you put it in a box with a lid that you close tightly. This will prevent it from drying out and it won't take on a refrigerator taste.

This mixture can of course also be frozen. It will keep for about half a year in a conventional freezer.

If you prepare the PMS recipe completely - including the creamy topping - then you should only store the brownies in the freezer. Otherwise the topping will be too runny.

My tip: freeze once, cut into pieces and then freeze the pieces again. Whenever you fancy something sweet, you can take a piece out of the freezer. 😋

Tips and tricks for preparation

1. correct consistency of the dough: Make sure that the brownie mixture has the right consistency. It should be moist and sticky, but not too runny.

If the dough is too dry, add more dates as required. If it is too runny, add more dry ingredients such as ground nuts or oat flakes.

2. flavor variations: Experiment with different flavours and ingredients to personalize your no-bake brownies. For example, add roasted nuts, dried fruit, vanilla extract or spices such as Cinnamon* or sea salt to discover new flavors.

3. perfect shape: Press the brownie batter evenly into the mold to ensure a consistent thickness. Use baking paper to make it easier to remove the brownies from the tin.

4. cooling time: Allow the brownies to cool sufficiently so that they reach the right consistency. It usually takes at least 30 minutes. You can even leave the 'batter' to rest overnight to achieve a firmer texture. The next day, add the chocolate cream to the batter and you're ready to go.

5. precise cutting: Use a sharp knife and dip it in hot water before each cut to get nice and clean brownie pieces. The recipe also tastes great if you scoop the brownies out of the mold with a spoon. 😅

What are the advantages of brownies without an oven?

Why no-bake brownies? It's simple: they're super practical. Imagine you really fancy brownies, but don't feel like switching on your oven and waiting for them to be ready.

This can be quite annoying on hot summer days or when you're short on time. This is where no-bake brownies come into play.

The advantages of this method are quite convincing. Firstly, it saves time. You don't have to wait for the oven to preheat or bake. Secondly, it's a great option if you don't fancy complicated baking processes. You don't have to worry about dough consistencies or the exact baking time. Simply prepare and enjoy.

What's more, no-bake brownies are incredibly delicious. They are moist, chocolatey and have that sweet, chocolatey taste that you love about brownies.

In short, No Bake Brownies are the quick, easy way to satisfy your brownie cravings without the stress and with full flavor. Try them and you'll understand why they're so magical.

Why do brownies from the fridge work as a PMS recipe?

It all starts a few days before menstruation: mood swings, breast tenderness, bloating, headaches, sleep disorders, tiredness, irritability ... the list could go on and on.

I can't take away all the symptoms, but at least a lot of them. This will at least make the upcoming period a little more pleasant.

It's not for nothing that I chose the ingredients. Each individual ingredient works against one of the symptoms and ensures that the time before your period is more pleasant. And in a very healthy way.

Dates: They contain natural sugar. Thus, the dates fight our fatigue and listlessness.

Walnuts and almonds: Both contain a lot of magnesium. This helps against a bloated stomach and cramps.

Cocoa powder*: Chocolate! Who else knows this chocolate craving so well? That's why there's a lot of cocoa powder in these brownies 😋

Bananas: Bananas contain a lot of vitamin B6. This helps you to prevent mood swings or bring them under control. The craving for sweets is satisfied if you use ripe bananas.

Almond paste: The fatty acids in almond paste fight your hot flashes.

With these ingredients, you can face PMS with a toned chest and your head held high. But do you know what's just as great? You don't need an oven!

The PMS cake simply goes into the freezer for 30 minutes. Perfect for preparing a cup of hot chocolate in the meantime and making yourself comfortable on the sofa.
