Recharging the batteries after a hard week at work doesn't have to be expensive. A few candles, a bubble bath, a nice scrub, a warm tea or sparkling champagne depending on the time and your preference.

If you are motivated enough to mix your own bath additive, you can be sure that only good ingredients are included and save money. My 3 favorite bath additives are:

The Cleopatra bath for dry skin:

The beautiful Egyptian pharaoh knew about the nurturing properties of milk and is said to regularly take a bath with Milk have taken as an additive. The bath consists of two ingredients:

  • Honey
  • 1 liter milk

The honey is first dissolved in the warm milk and then added to the bath water. The milk protects the skin from dryness, as it has a refatting effect.

Citrus Rosemary Bath for the freshness kick:

The invigorating, anti-inflammatory lemon is great when you want to wake up or have a Freshness kick needs. Together with the aromatic rosemary and a bit of orange, this makes for a fresh, pleasant bathing experience.

  • 2 tsp dried zest from one lemon
  • 1 tsp dried zest from one orange
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary

Mix everything well and stir into the hot bath water. Smells incredibly good and wakes up from hibernation.

Salt bath with essential oils:

The effect that salt water has on our skin, we already know from the Beach vacation. But even far from the sea you do not have to do without the skin care effect. Sea salt makes the skin firmer and rosier. It also has an anti-inflammatory effect, wounds heal faster.

  • 500g sea salt (coarser salt takes longer to dissolve!)
  • 25 drops of essential oil (I always use Rose oil*)
  • Possibly still Coconut oil* for soft skin

Mix the ingredients well and pack in an airtight container.

For combination skin is suitable mask with oats. Because oats acts soothing and contains valuable silica. Simply process 2 tablespoons of oats into powder, 1 tablespoon. Cinnamon* and mix 2 tablespoons each of lemon juice and honey. The miracle weapon for blemished skin is ready.
