3 ingenious hot chocolate recipes
Each of the recipes is enough for one person. If you're planning a movie night with a friend or have an insatiable craving for an extreme amount of cocoa, simply double the amount.
The ingredients change with each recipe, the preparation does not. Simply heat the milk in a small saucepan. Stir from time to time so that no skin is formed.
And once the milk is hot enough, stir the ingredients into the milk. Heat for another minute and the hot chocolate is ready.
Who wants can still put a pretty milk foam on the hot chocolate recipe. Milk can no longer be foamed with cocoa. So you have to take fresh milk for it.
Milk foam works best with cow's milk. But vegetable milk can also be foamed beautifully.

Hot chocolate with coconut and almond milk
But let's get right to it. We'll start with a particularly nutty hot chocolate.
Attention: Do not overdo it with the coconut milk. It has a lot of calories. I mix it 1:1 with almond milk. But you can also take only 1-2 tablespoons of coconut milk to save calories.

- ½ Cup Coconut milk light
- ½ Almond milk
- 2 TL Baking cocoa
- 1 Pinch Cinnamon
- 1 Pinch Coconut blossom sugar optional
Anleitung
- Mix the coconut milk and almond milk in a saucepan. Bring them to a boil.
- Add the cocoa and stir until dissolved.
- Now stir in the cinnamon. Season to taste and sweeten with coconut blossom sugar if desired. If you like, you can also use more cocoa.

Hot chocolate with peanut butter
You like it nutty? Then this recipe is perfect for you. To give the cocoa more flavor, we simply add a little peanut flavor to the hot drink.
You are not a fan of peanut butter? Then you can also take almond paste. It tastes a little more neutral.
By the way, you can only get a frothy crown with cow's milk. Vegetable milk does not foam up so well.

- 2 TL Cocoa powder
- 1 TL Peanut butter
- 1 Pinch Salt
Anleitung
- Bring the milk to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Add the cocoa powder. And then the peanut butter.
- Use a peanut butter without nut pieces for this!
- A small pinch of salt adds that certain something to the drink.
- This hot chocolate is not sweet enough for you? Coconut blossom sugar fits wonderfully into the recipe.

You like it fruity? Chocolate, milk and orange are a wonderful combination. But be sure to buy an organic orange!
Hot chocolate with orange zest
Ingredients
- 1,5 Cups Almond milk
- 10 g dark chocolate
- 2 TL Cocoa powder
- ½ TL Cinnamon
- ½ Vanilla bean
- 1 Pinch Cardamom
- 2 TL Orange zest
Anleitung
- Heat 3/4 of the almond milk and melt the dark chocolate in it.
- Stir well. When the chocolate has melted, add cocoa powder, cinnamon, vanilla and cardamom.
- Put it in the cup.
- Boil the remaining almond milk and whisk until frothy.
- On top of the cocoa, add a little milk foam and then the orange zest.
