The package itself turns out relatively light. I always thought that such a stool is much heavier. Just 4.6 kg brings the entire package on the scale. Shall be fine with me, because my apartment is small. So I have to put away the stool every time after practice.

But before we get ready to put it away, I really want to test it first :)

The tool and the components for it can be found in the package. I am not a craftsman genius, but in 5 minutes even I manage.

It is really not difficult. You only have to tighten a total of 6 screws. The holes are pre-drilled and the instructions are so simple that you really can't do it wrong.

However, you should not unscrew the stool again. Once it is assembled, it should stay that way. Otherwise you endanger your safety and risk that the stool wobbles.

How best to get your legs in the air

So that you also know how to do it best, here comes a detailed tutorial.

  1. Put your hands on the stool. Just before the cushion begins, you will find backrests, which is made of wood. Grasp the backrests tightly.
  2. Put your head in the hole of the cushion.
  3. The elbows point upwards.
  4. Walk your toes as close to the stool as you can.
  5. Your head and back should form a straight line.
  6. Take a deep breath and lift your legs off the floor.
  7. The elbows now touch the knees, the back is straight.
  8. Have you found your balance? Then slowly stretch your legs.

Are you afraid to stretch your legs? That's perfectly fine. Don't let yourself be rushed. You set the pace yourself!

In the beginning, it is also enough if you manage to get your knees and elbows touching. Just practice this part until you feel confident enough to stretch.

Do you feel insecure and are you not quite comfortable with the headstand? Then you should put the stool against the wall. A friend can also help you to get into the position better.

Probably the most important part of the headstand stool test is waiting for me. Writing about it is one thing, but then doing the headstand myself is quite another.

So, there it is, waiting for me to turn upside down for the first time. Admittedly: I approach the whole undertaking with a little respect.

How I feel during my first headstand stool experience? A little uncertain, I must admit. But when I manage it and finally dare to stretch my legs, I feel just wonderful.

The legs wobble back and forth quite a bit after stretching. The only thing that helps is to tense the abdomen and buttocks. By the way, this measure works immediately.

The shoulders rest very well on the pad. Nothing presses. The head hangs down in a relaxed manner. However, I feel how quickly the blood collects in my head. After a short time, I'm as red as a tomato.

A little tip on the side: Do not eat anything directly beforehand. As a beginner even better 2 hours. I had eaten a piece of cake before that head standing was not so much fun.

My first headstand lasts only a few seconds and is not yet very straight. But I am optimistic that the next one will already last twice as long.

By the way, for a short time I forgot to breathe because of all the excitement, but then I realized that quite quickly :)
