    Here's how:

    Cut the bread into thin slices. Roast in the oven at 220 degrees on the middle shelf for 3 minutes until light brown. Then cut the garlic clove in half. Rub the slices with the cut surface.

    Wash the asparagus, peel the lower third, cut off the ends. Cut asparagus into 3cm pieces and boil in salted water for 3 minutes until al dente. Drain water and rinse asparagus with cold water. Wash and halve the tomatoes.

    For the vinaigrette: Mix vinegar with 3-4 tablespoons of water, add salt, pepper and sugar. Carefully stir in olive oil. Pluck basil leaves, wash and add. Let the asparagus and tomatoes steep briefly in the vinaigrette.
