How to make the basic chia seed recipe successful

I have tested different chia seed recipes for you. Yes, all of them are pudding. But that is and remains the best of all variants :) My conclusion: You are full for a long time and it tastes just super delicious.

For the basic recipe with chia, you must allow at least 30 minutes lead time. Because the chia seeds need until they are well swollen. The longer you let them swell, the better they absorb.

For all three seed recipes, I put 2 tablespoons of seeds in a jar. I infuse the seeds with 15 tablespoons of liquid. I use milk in my recipes. Feel free to try it with soy milk or almond milk: What tastes good is allowed.

Stir well and put it in the refrigerator. After 5 minutes I stir the mass, so that the seeds can suck even better. Depending on my mood, I sometimes add a little honey.

This basic mixture is enough for two mueslis or two servings of chia pudding.

  • Grate lemon zest and add to banana-yogurt mixture.
  • Puree a few blueberries. If this is not sweet enough, you can stir in a little honey.
  • The first layer is now the chia pudding. This is followed by yogurt and finally the blueberries.

Chia pudding with spirulina

Can it be a little more exotic? It's certainly rare to be served a blue dessert. This is not only an eye-catcher, but also super healthy.

Spirulina is very rich in protein and contains a lot of nutrients such as vitamin B1, B2 and B3. Also a lot of iron and copper.

Recipe

Chia pudding with spirulina

If you want your snack to be visually convincing, it's best to use spirulina powder. It quickly turns yogurt light blue. Caution: Don't get too much!

How you can lose weight with chia recipes

You know what it's like: If you eat more calories than you burn, you gain weight. If you go on FDH (eat half), the body goes into energy-saving mode. You lose weight.

But once your diet is over, you'll have those kilos right back on your stomach, legs and butt: the universally hated yo-yo effect kicks in. Going on a permanent diet is not only pointless, but also unhealthy.

Anyone who has ever added chia seeds to water or milk and left it to stand overnight knows that chia seeds soak up liquid. By the way, they do the same in your intestines.

When they are swollen, you automatically feel full. Thanks to the many fibers, this feeling of satiety can last quite a long time.

Unlike white bread, which causes blood sugar levels to spike briefly and then immediately drop, a chia seed recipe does it slowly.

This speaks for a chia seed recipe

  • Keeps you full for a long time
  • is very varied
  • gives strength and energy for training

The carbohydrates of chia seeds are released very slowly in your body - your blood sugar level remains constant for a long time. So you don't get any cravings. Sounds great or?

A normal dish that you make a chia seed recipe, thanks to the many nutrients, will ensure that you do not get magel symptoms.

Combined with exercise and muscle building, a crisp buttocks nothing more in the way!

For those who have issues with gluten, there's great news! Whether chia pudding or another chia seed recipe - all are gluten free.

Our conclusion

Chia seeds are very versatile. They taste best in combination with fruit, for example as chia pudding. For a dessert with chia you need to plan a little time. Because only when the seeds have time to soak up liquid, it tastes really good.
