Have you thought about cutting back on your sugar intake? Bitter substances are said to be very effective at doing this. I'll do the test: These are my Bitterliebe drops experiences!

I love sweets (especially Nutella😋). Yes, I know you shouldn't eat too much sugar because it's unhealthy. But at the same time, I'm often overcome by a craving for sweets in the afternoon.

"Don't be like that. You're so slim anyway", my friends say to me. But that's not my point. Because sugar doesn't just make you put on weight, it's the cause of many lifestyle diseases.

I recently came across an article in which a study was quoted. It was about sugar consumption and the diseases associated with it. In it 45 Diseases that have been linked to excessive sugar consumption.

This ranges from classics such as obesity and diabetes to breast cancer, asthma, depression, high blood pressure and more.

However, it was clear to me that I now had to do something about it and eat less sugar.🙅🏼‍♀️

But it's not that easy. I have to reach into my bag of tricks and stumble across bitter substances during my research. That Bitter substances inhibit cravingsis no secret - Lydia has written about it before.

But today I want to try something very special: Bitterliebe. The drops are supposed to be so bitter that you lose your desire for chocolate, cake and the like. I'm curious to see if this really works. The product is definitely not easy for me.

Here I record my Bitterliebe drops experiences, which I made over a period of two weeks.

Who or what is Bitterliebe?

The founders behind Bitterliebe are André Sierek and Jan Stratmann. You may know them from the VOX show "Die Höhle der Löwen".

André and Jan have dedicated themselves to using bitter substances to improve health and well-being.

In the beginning there was the Bitter substances only in drop form*. Today, the range also includes capsules, powder, tea and spray.😊

The Bitterliebe products are 100 % natural and contain various bitter herbs, from yarrow to gentian root. They are vegan, gluten-free, made in Germany and free from additives.

What effect do Bitterliebe drops have?

The effect of Bitterliebe drops is based on the bitter substances. They work on two levels:

  1. Support digestion
  2. Reduce cravings

Bitter substances stimulate the Digestion and Gastric juice production an. The founders write on the website: "A healthy digestive tract can better absorb nutrients and vital substances and eliminate toxins." This should make you feel more alert, fitter and more focused.

However, the bitter taste drops are also said to be Acute ravenous appetite help. Taking the drops is said to reduce the desire for sugar almost at the same moment.❌🍭

Incidentally, this is not a new insight, but has been used for centuries in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

I recently read somewhere that, based on this knowledge, bitter substances are added to many Chinese sweets - often from ginger.

Many also report that the drops help them with cravings and a feeling of fullness.

Bitter substances for the skin

Studies have shown that those who struggle with blemished or very oily skin could also benefit from the effect of bitter substances.

They are also said to have a good anti-ageing effect.

For those who don't know, our skin is closely connected to our digestive tract. That's why many experts are convinced that a healthy and functioning intestines can be seen in the appearance of the skin.

Well, how will the Bitterliebe drops taste? I am curious!

My experience with Bitterliebe drops

Since an illness a few years ago (which was mainly caused by my psyche and could only be treated with TCM), I have been a total fan of natural remedies. My colleague Lydia is an expert in medicinal herbs and also likes to make her own - one of my current favorites is her Homemade anti-headache drops.😊

That Bitter substances a good aid for digestion and blood sugar levels, she had even gone through this in her training.

I am all the more curious to see how I get on with the Bitter love drops* will go.

I really wanted my own Bitterliebe drops experiences because I want to know what effect they have on me and how quickly the Effect entry.

In the next few lines my personal experience with Bitterliebe Tropfen for you and tell you everything you want to know about it.

Are you ready to immerse yourself with me in a world that is almost sugar-free (it doesn't work without it after all😛)? And to read how I feel about it? Then the next few lines are especially for you!

The order

I had a package put together for my test. It consists of:

3 days after ordering, the doorbell rings and the parcel is in front of me. It's mid-morning and I don't want to spoil my appetite. That's why I wait until the afternoon before I make my first attempt.

The first taste test

I have a real sweet tooth. At lunchtime, I like to have toast with Nutella or a cake from my grandma.

Unlike my colleague Lydia, I haven't had much contact with bitter substances. She consciously buys radicchio or chicory and loves the bitter taste. In spring, she makes herself Regular dandelion salad with wild herbs.

I'd rather stick to my cake. 🤭

It's close now 3 p.m.the time when I usually start looking for something sweet. This helps me to overcome the midday slump and recharge my batteries for the afternoon. In other words, now is the ideal time to trick the cravings before they arise.

I start with the Bitter love drops. Half a pipette should correspond to about 25 drops - i.e. one dose. I unscrew the bottle, press the pipette, open my mouth: and ....

Phew, that's bitter. I wipe my face like a toddler biting on a lemon.

I can feel the bitterness all the way to my toes. I actually lose the desire to eat something at the same moment 😂

Bitter love drops test
Phew, that's bitter. I didn't really want to look so tricky in the photo, but I couldn't help myself.

Now I'm giving the mild drops a chance. They really are definitely milder in taste. You can taste the vinegar a little - somehow it has something of sour apple juice with a bitter aftertaste.

While the classic drops are almost golden yellow, the mild drops are cloudy in color.

Because I want to know, I decide to experience my Bitterliebe drops with the classic variant. It's a lot harder, but if it works, then I'm prepared to go the distance.

Speaking of effect: How long holds the Anti-hunger effect on?

On this day, in fact, until dinner.

To find out more about the Bitter love experience report, I prescribe the drops myself 2x a day. I take it once in the morning after breakfast and then again in the afternoon.

It's anything but easy for me, especially in the morning. But I'm sticking to it. If I really do eat less sugar as a result, it will be worth it once and for all (even if I do miss my sweet snacks).💪🏼

By the way: If you are absolutely not a fan of bitter flavors, then there are Recently also capsules*. The bitter substances are then only released in the stomach and you don't taste any of them.

After one week

I was really good now. I took the drops every day for 6 days. Once in the morning and once in the afternoon between 2 and 3 pm.

Somehow I have to keep thinking about the bitter taste when I want to eat sweets. Just the thought of it puts me off a little. 🤭

I clearly need to read up more on the subject and am promptly making bitter substances one of my big research topics of the year. So you'll soon be able to read a lot more about it here.

What about my Bitterliebe drops experience and my cravings?

The cravings are extremely limited. I only get weak at the weekend. But that was also really mean and a trap - I was invited to a birthday party. Let's leave that day out of the equation.

It is much more important to Sugar consumption during the week in the afternoon. It has really decreased a lot. There's only one close call. But I just managed to get away with a black eye and steer clear of the homemade cake in the office. 😄

This soon becomes a running joke among my colleagues. Everyone tries to bribe me, but I stay strong.

For me, sugar means household sugar and various alternatives. Fructose in the form of fresh Fruit I do not fast. However, the amount of fruit I eat remains the same as before my test.

It's not that I'm now compensating for the lack of household sugar with fructose. I just don't crave sweets that much.

Incidentally, the drops last me quite a long time. One bottle (50 ml) should last for a month. But because I take less, I only use a little. That's why I have the Bitter love drops* passed on among family and friends.

How to stay My bitter love experiences not the only ones either. I gave the products to my mom Michaela passed on. She is just about to test the drops again in detail and then report back to me on how she got on. For her, too, it is the ravenous appetite that keeps driving her back to the Candy drawer can be grasped.

I gave her the drops yesterday and am looking forward to hearing what she has to say. I'll write a few more lines about it shortly!

What ingredients are contained in Bitterliebe drops?

So far we know that the drops are quite bitter. But which herbal ingredients are responsible for this bitterness? I took a close look at the list.

In the classic drops* In addition to alcohol and water, it contains extracts from:

  • Gentian root
  • Artichoke herb
  • Centaury
  • Dandelion root
  • Wormwood herb
  • Anglica root
  • bitter orange fruit
  • Yarrow herb and flowers
  • Ginger root
  • Cardamom
  • Lavender flowers
  • Curcuma root
  • Citwer root
  • Fennel seeds
  • Black cumin seeds
But there is also a mild variant*, which is alcohol-free and less bitter. Here are Glycerine and apple cider vinegar the basis. However, everything remains the same for the plants and roots, except for the composition and quantity.

What you will look for in vain in all products are Preservatives, sweeteners and additives.

How do you take Bitterliebe drops correctly?

Bitterliebe recommends a Daily dose from 3 x 25 drops. You can use the drops before or after a meal ingest. To do this, take half a pipette and place the drops directly on the tongue. As with all herbal preparations, you should not swallow them immediately, but leave them to work for a while.

The ingredients are then absorbed particularly well via the mucous membranes.

When can I expect an improvement in cravings? This is what I asked nutritionist Laura Merten: "If you take the recommended dose, you can already notice the effective effect of the bitter drops within a few days."

Bitterliebe drops experience
You can take the drops directly after a meal or when you have a craving for sweets.

They are suitable for almost everyone, except for pregnant women and children due to the alcohol content of some products. However, there are also alcohol-free variants such as the "Bitterliebe drops mild*“.

What do other users say about the bitter anti cravings drops?

In order to be completely uninfluenced, I deliberately didn't read any articles about the Bitterliebe drops beforehand. I wanted to be able to report objectively. Now that my test is finished, however, I will of course take a look at other reviews.

At Amazon has a total of 13000 reviews about Bitterliebe drops. In total, the drops make it to 4.1 out of 5 stars.

I have summarized a few Amazon reviews for you here so that you can get a clearer picture.

Ilona writes: "It tastes very bitter, but it helps me very well." I find Pierre's review interesting: "I have been struggling with cravings for years and have been looking for a solution for ages. After using these bitter drops for about a week, I am pleasantly surprised by their effectiveness."

Bernd adds: "Had bad liver values. After doing some research, I decided to take Bitterliebe. After three months, my liver values were good again. Thank you very much!"

Maike also has something to say: "At first it really took a lot of effort for me to take the bitter drops. After a few days you get used to it and it's easier. What I definitely notice is that I have much less of an appetite for sweets. I take the drops as needed when the cravings come."

Bitterliebe Spray taste test
The drops taste quite bitter. For me, half a pipette is enough to drive away the desire for sweets.

For some Amazon reviews is not sparing with criticism - but overall the negative tones are very low.

Gerda writes something like: "Very bitter. Got it yesterday, took it twice, haven't felt any effect yet."

Kerstin adds: "I have been taking the drops after meals for a few days now. So far I have only noticed that I don't feel hungry for a while after taking them. I have not yet noticed any difference in digestion. Perhaps the drops need to be taken over a longer period of time."

Kaya writes: "Helps if you always take it. It won't make you slim without you exercising and cutting calories overall. But it is highly recommended to help with chocolate cravings."

The drops are too bitter for Nina: "I'm a real sweet tooth, even asparagus is too bitter for me. Nevertheless, I wanted to give the drops a chance. Unfortunately, I can't take them because they are far too bitter."

Overall, the negative tones are really very manageable. Most users have taken the drops for too short a time (one day) to be able to report a long-term experience. For others, the bitter drops are simply too bitter.

Is it worth testing the bitter drops?

From my point of view, the drops are definitely worth it. own bitter love experience to make. They are practical compared to many other anti-hunger products. What I like is that they natural bitter substances from roots and other parts of the plant.

Such products have a natural origin and are always number one for me before I try preparations that contain a lot of chemicals.

The products have significantly reduced my appetite for sweets. At least from Monday to Friday when I'm in the office.

Saturday and Sunday are a completely different story. I'm not as susceptible to cravings because I'm out in the fresh air and moving around a lot.

The Sunday cake will probably haunt me for a while yet. But that's okay. After all, you have to treat yourself to a little something! 😅

Bitterliebe drops experience report
The drops are not tasty, but they do help when cravings arise!

My conclusion

If you are looking for Bitterliebe drops experiences and test reports, then you will quickly find what you are looking for in the Amazon reviews land. However, they are usually only very superficial. With this article, I wanted to give you a detailed overview of the company and its products. I hope that I have succeeded in doing this 🙂

After a week of testing, I can already say that these drops work pretty well for me. I take them whenever I get a craving for sweets. And that's almost every day in the afternoon. You can take them up to 3 times a day if you feel the need.

I am a big fan of natural remedies. My grandmother also knew that bitter substances have always been a good idea. After a gourmet meal at Christmas and Easter, she often made us a bitter herbal tea for digestion, which she collected herself. I can still remember that very well - it was really disgusting 😅

But also super healthy.

It's worth giving the drops a chance. I hope you enjoy tasting them!
