Cioa, ciao old conditioner and expensive conditioner! Acid rinse hair are now really trendy! You don't need traditional conditioners with meter-long ingredient lists anymore. Simple apple cider vinegar is all you need to nourish your mane.

An acidic conditioner - also called acidic rinse - balances the pH of hair and scalp. It smoothes the hair structure and gives your mane a healthy glow. Now you can read about the two super simple ingredients behind the so-called acid rinse for hair.

I am always looking for simple home remedies that care for my hair and above all make it beautiful. Because honestly, my long hair is really stressed from blow drying and styling! And the other day I came across a very simple hair conditioner called acid rinse.

I actually tried it the same day and what can I say? Acid rinse for hair works! My hair looks much healthier and especially shinier.

Another goodie: You can completely avoid chemical and synthetic ingredients with the acid hair conditioner.

You definitely shouldn't miss the acid rinse hair trend! We now explain how you can make the conditioner yourself from just two ingredients and use it correctly.

What is behind the vinegar hair trend?

The acidic conditioner is a hair miracle weapon! It costs very little, you can make it yourself in a few minutes and it makes your hair supple, manageable and shiny.

G(l)anz clear, the best hair conditioners can be SO simple!

The acid rinse is a home remedy made from apple cider vinegar and water. That was it.

For me, it has been a must-do in the hair wash for a few weeks now. And you should no longer do without it if you want to have beautiful hair or want to revive your hair.

The apple cider vinegar is to make straight particularly strongly strained hair again maintain and softer.

Acid rinse home remedy

Why should you make an acid rinse?

If you use hair soap, you should definitely try the acid rinse for hair. Because homemade hair soap (and of course purchased) together with very hard water can cause lime residue on the hair. These residues are effectively removed by the acidic hair conditioner. Residues of silicones from other hair shampoos can also be removed by conditioner.

Even with a normal hair wash your hair is stressed. The outer cuticle / protective coating of the hair becomes more vulnerable to hot water. This makes the hair dull and also somewhat rougher. The result is often very poor combability.

Acid rinse for hair restores their healthy shine and makes them much easier to comb, because the protective layer closes again.

This natural conditioner can even prevent dandruff.

How to make an acid rinse for hair?

So the simple hair conditioner is made very quickly. You only need two ingredients, which you can probably even find right in your kitchen.

You need apple cider vinegar and cool tap water. For one application I take:

  • two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and
  • one liter of water.

The rinse is relatively mild. If you want it stronger, you can mix up to two tablespoons to a liter of tap water.

Fill a bottle with one liter of cool tap water. Then you can add two teaspoons. Mix the two liquids and you're done.

You can also use herbal vinegar, balsamic vinegar or lemon juice as an alternative to apple cider vinegar. I find the acid rinse for hair with apple cider vinegar so far best.

Acid rinse hair

This is the only way to apply the acid rinse correctly

You should always mix the acidic conditioner fresh before use. Since the whole thing is super fast, this is no effort.

If you're worried that your hair might smell like vinegar: All-clear! When your hair is dry, the somewhat unfamiliar scent of apple cider vinegar is gone.

In the beginning, you should wash your hair normally, either with your shampoo or with a hair soap.
Rinse the hair thoroughly.

Then pour the acid rinse on the hair and scalp. Massage it thoroughly and gently.

Please make sure that the acidic conditioner does not get into your eyes.

You do not need to rinse the acid rinse. It acts like a leave-in conditioner.

In order to get the best possible effect from the natural conditioner, you should use the conditioner so once a week.

With colored hair you should be a little careful. Many hair dyes consist of ammonia and silicone. These two substances do not get along well with acid rinse. The rinse could take the color out of your hair. Then they will become blotchy.

With natural dyes there are no problems with acid rinse for the hair.

Our conclusion

So for me, the acid rinse is THE miracle cure for hair. Whether you want to strengthen damaged hair, prevent dandruff, bring back the shine or better combability for your hair, with a little apple cider vinegar and tap water you get it all.

My hair and I love this natural conditioner alternative. It does not get any easier than this!
