Summer, heat and pure sun. Who doesn't know the feeling after a refreshment in the form of a cool drink? We have collected the best refreshments.

In the summer, I'm often plagued by cravings for something sweet. But since soft drinks are not the optimal solution for hot summer days, I have looked around for cool alternatives for you. Cooling down is guaranteed with these drinks.

6 refreshing drinks for summer

Watermelon drink:

My big summer favorite is the watermelon. Due to its high water content, it is in combination with its sweet taste in every respect fully suitable for summer. But if you don't always want to enjoy watermelon in chunks, I've tracked down a great watermelon drink for you.

Here's how it works:

  • 250g watermelon pieces
  • a few mint leaves for garnish
  • Ice cube

It is best if you put the ice cubes together with the melon pieces in a blender and then puree them until all ingredients are nicely mixed. After that, it's best to enjoy it right away. With the mint leaves you can then garnish the drink wonderfully.

Nectarine melon juice

Another favorite on my summer drink list is the nectarine melon juice. It tastes deliciously refreshing and you can make it super easy at home. You'll see, this drink is an absolute hit.

It's that simple:

  • 150ml mineral water
  • 50g honeydew melon (cut into pieces)
  • 50g nectarine (cut into pieces and it is best to use softer nectarines for this)

The best way is to mix the mineral water with the honeydew melon and the nectarine in a blender. Then simply enjoy quickly. If you want you can add a few ice cubes.

Berries smoothie

Another favorite of mine is the berry smoothie. Simple, quick to make and simply good. Plus, you can make the smoothie with milk or water.

What you need for it:

  • 150ml mineral water or milk
  • 50g each frozen strawberries, blueberries and raspberries (alternatively blackberries)
  • 1 tsp honey

Just put all the ingredients in a (stand)blender and puree them. Then you can enjoy your smoothie immediately cold. the right

Tomato drink

For the summer, I also think a tomato drink is very cool. I know, usually you associate tomato juice mostly with flying, because the drink is very sought after above the clouds. But why not make it yourself at home?

You will need the following ingredients:

  • 250 ml tomato juice
  • 2-3 slices of seeded jalapenos (optional)
  • 1 piece each of lime and lemon

Simply mix the tomato juice with the jalapenos and then drizzle lime and lemon juice over the drink.

Lemonade with ginger

When I need something more sugary, I sometimes resort to lemonade. I think everyone needs that sometimes. The following recipe is one of my favorite sodas.

These are the things you need for the perfect summer limo:

  • 250ml lemonade
  • a little chopped ginger
  • 1 slice of lemon
  • a few leaves of mint

Simply pour the lemonade into a glass with the ginger and mint leaves. If you want your drink even cooler, just add a few ice cubes. You'll see, lemonade can be so good sometimes.

Cherry drink

I also find Kirschaft with lemon great for the summer. This drink is also super easy to prepare and this drink is also a really healthy alternative to soft drinks.

Here's how to make the coveted cherry drink:

  • 250ml cherry juice
  • a few mint leaves
  • 1 piece lime

For this summery refreshing drink, simply pour the cherry juice into a glass and add a dash of lime juice. Garnish the drink simply with mint. So go ahead and enjoy the drink.
