Why a protein ice cream recipe?

Well quite simply: "Quark makes strong" :) A serving of 200 grams brings our body a protein turbo of 25 grams. Thus, the daily requirement of protein is as good as covered. If you train a lot, you also need to eat enough protein. And in between, you just have to treat yourself to something :)

In addition, quark can be combined with many ingredients. From sweet to savory. Therefore, it is the perfect ingredient for our protein ice cream recipe.

This is our ice cream recipe with cottage cheese and berries

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 egg
  • 2 TBSP. Protein powder strawberry
  • 1-2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 100 gram curd
  • Fresh or frozen berries

Here's how:

Beat the egg whites and yolks with a mixer until foamy.

Now add the quark to the mixture. Stir again firmly.

Add 2 tablespoons Protein powder with strawberry flavor and 1-2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice to the mixture.

Warm the berries in a pot on the stove. This way they give off more flavor.

At the end, stir the berries into the ice cream mixture with a spoon - not with a blender. Otherwise they will be completely crushed.

Pour the mixture into a container of your choice. We chose nice jars and put the rest of the mixture in a Tupperware box.

Let your protein ice cream recipe set in the freezer for 4-5 hours.

The ice cream recipe may seem a little sweet to you. However, when it is frozen, our taste buds perceive the sweetness differently. So don't be alarmed :)

Our tip

It is best to cover the ice. So not so many ice crystals form. The ice cream goes very well with waffles, pancakes, crepes, etc. So you don't need to spend a lot of money on protein ice cream, you can also make it yourself very easily. Enjoy it!
