Low carb casserole with chicken and broccoli

The casserole is full of vitamins and nutrients. However, you won't find any carbohydrates.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 Chicken breast
  • 4 Broccoli florets
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 50 g Ham
  • 60 g Gouda
  • 200 ml Cream
  • 3 EL Ricotta
  • Salt and pepper

Anleitung

  • Chop the onion, garlic, chicken and broccoli.
  • Cut the chicken into small pieces and marinate it with olive oil, garlic, chili powder, pepper and salt.
  • Dice the Gouda and the ham.
  • Pluck the broccoli into small pieces. This way you save on cooking and can add it raw to the casserole.
  • Fry the onion and garlic. Take them out of the pan.
  • Now fry the meat until hot.
  • Now put all the ingredients alternately in the baking dish, which you have previously brushed with a little olive oil.
  • The top layer is the Gouda. At the very end, ricotta is added to the low carb casserole.
  • Now you pour the chicken casserole with cream.
  • Place the low carb casserole in the oven at 180° for about 30 minutes. Done!

Why we love this low carb recipe so much

It's simple: it goes in the oven. And that makes it possible to do many other things on the side before getting to the food. Actually perfect for the evening. Or? :)

And what else is wonderful about the chicken low carb casserole: You can store the leftovers in the fridge and simply warm them up again briefly. Still tastes just as good. However, you have to make sure that you really store the meat in the refrigerator. Otherwise it can quickly go bad.
