It's easy: make your own iced coffee! We have put together three great recipes for you. It's so easy to enjoy your coffee cold this summer.

Dear coffee junkies watch out! Even in hot temperatures, no one has to do without the beloved coffee (we would sweat quite a bit.) The delicious alternative to the most popular hot drink is the iced coffee.

Why make your own iced coffee?

Iced coffee can also theoretically be bought as a "ready-made powder". Nevertheless, we advise you to make the delicious summer drink yourself. The reasons for this are many and varied. Your iced coffee remains free of artificial additives.

You also decide for yourself how much sugar you want in the drink. And you know exactly which ingredients in the iced coffee are refreshing. It also reduces plastic waste and is cheaper. And you probably have almost everything at home for a delicious coffee anyway. :)

The basis of any iced coffee is, of course, coffee. We recommend that you brew the coffee a little stronger so that the tart aroma is retained. Due to the additives in the iced coffee, the coffee is stretched anyway.

By the way, it doesn't matter whether you use filter coffee or bean coffee. After brewing, you should let the coffee cool down a bit. Then it goes for 1-2 hours in the refrigerator.

In our recipes instead of whipped cream we use whipped coconut milk, as this is more easily digestible. Tastes heavenly. And not so heavy in the stomach. :) For all with lactose intolerance and for vegans we recommend almond milk instead of conventional milk.

Ingredients for the coconut iced coffee:

This is how it works:

  • For the iced coffee with vanilla ice cream, prepare the coffee normally. If you would like to sweeten the coffee, stir in the sugar now. This is the best way for the crystals to dissolve. Then allow to cool.
  • If you like, use regular vanilla ice cream from the freezer. We have a great Low carb vanilla ice cream recipe discovered that does without sugar. And can be made yourself without an ice cream maker.
  • Now it's time to whip the cream. To do this, take the coconut milk and put it in a bowl with a third of the cream stiffener. Beat diligently until the desired consistency is reached.
  • Now place the ice cream scoop(s) in a tall glass. Carefully pour the coffee over it. Then pour the cream on top. What you garnish the coffee with is up to you. What do you think of some dark chocolate or coconut flakes?

Our Tip:

Iced coffee with vanilla ice cream is an absolute classic. But if you want to make the iced coffee yourself, there are no limits to your imagination. Swap the vanilla ice cream for nut ice cream and decorate the cream with finely chopped almonds and hazelnuts.

For the chocolate fans: make your own ice mocha

Ingredients for the iced mocha coffee:

  • 200 ml fresh coffee
  • 2 TSP Cocoa powder*
  • some almond milk
  • 50 ml coconut milk
  • 30 g cream stiffener
  • Chocolate chips and a little Cinnamon*

This is how it works:

  • For the iced mocha, prepare the coffee normally. Instead of sweetening it with sugar, you stir the Cocoa powder* under. Leave to cool.
  • Place the coconut milk in a bowl with a third of the cream stiffener. Beat diligently until the desired consistency is reached.
  • First fill the glass with a small sip of chilled almond milk. Now pour the ice mocha over it. Finally, you put the cream on top and decorate with chocolate and Cinnamon*.

Our Tip:

Super tasty and quite pretty it becomes with chopped almonds and some Cocoa powder* on the cream. This makes the Eismocca taste twice as delicious :)

Quick and super simple: make low-calorie iced coffee yourself

This is how it works:

  • For the low-calorie iced coffee, prepare the coffee normally. If necessary, it is best to sweeten it now. Allow the coffee to cool.
  • Now take a bulbous glass. First put the desired amount of ice cubes in it. If you like, pour a little almond milk over it. Then add the coffee. It is already ready.

Our Tip:

Crushed ice is even better than ice cubes. Just put the ice cubes in a freezer bag and seal it well. Then crush (goes super with a rolling pin or a steak beater ;)
