I was allowed to put it under the microscope: the new vacuum mopping robot from Yeedi. Read my experience with this model in the big Yeedi Vac 2 Pro test. Housework can be so easy!
Let's be honest: There is hardly anything that is more annoying than housework. First and foremost, of course, vacuuming and mopping the floor. You should mop the floor at least once a week if you want your home to be hygienically clean.
And vacuuming? Well, that depends on how many people live in the household, whether you have pets and how big the apartment is. But you should get the vacuum cleaner out every second or third day.
The fact is, we all have better things to do than worry about keeping the floor clean.
The solution to this dilemma could be a vacuum robot with wiping function.
Brand new on the market is the Yeedi Vac 2 Pro. I have already heard a lot about it. Especially that this new vacuum mopping robot should leave nothing to be desired for a reasonable price.
That made me really curious.

For whom is a vacuum mopping robot worthwhile?
Robot vacuums are ideal for households with pets, small children and people who want to save time and effort. Yeedi Vac 2 Pro is especially suitable for medium-sized apartments, because it can clean an area of up to 200 m 2 in one pass.
It's also great that it can be controlled via the Yeedi app or Alexa voice control. This makes it very user-friendly.

What makes the Yeedi Vac 2 Pro so special?
If you've paid a little attention to robot vacuum cleaners, you'll know that Yeedi has already launched a few models.
However, the manufacturer is said to have made considerable improvements to the Vac 2 Pro. The robot is equipped with many extras, such as smart navigation, obstacle detection and a vibrating wiping plate. We will now take a closer look at the details.
Navigation and obstacle detection
The Yeedi has an advanced navigation system that uses a camera to orient itself to the ceiling of the room.
Unlike similar models with laser towers on the top, the housing of this hybrid robot remains smooth and flat - handy when cleaning under the sofa or boxes.
Together with its powerful 3D obstacle detection, it detects obstacles in any scenario and navigates around them effortlessly.
Yeedi Vac 2 Pro provides thorough cleaning by systematically and methodically cleaning any room. Its small 3D sensor detects all obstacles and allows the robot to avoid them quickly and easily.
Suction function
The robot has an impressive suction power of 3,000 Pa (Pascal). That is a lot compared to similar products from the competition. It can clean tiles, wooden floors and carpets with that.
You can set the suction strength yourself. Or you can activate the carpet booster. With this function, the robot automatically increases the suction power on carpets.
Wipe function
Unlike other vacuum cleaners with a mopping function, the Yeedi has an oscillating plate that applies pressure to your floor and can remove even the most stubborn dirt. The 180 ml water tank provides the necessary moisture to ensure effective cleaning.
App
You can operate the Yeedi Vac 2 Pro via the free app. In the app you can create cleaning schedules, adjust the flow rate of the water and the suction strength.
Battery power
Equipped with a powerful 5,200 mAh lithium-ion battery, the robot offers an impressive runtime of up to 240 minutes - perfect for larger households. When needed, it automatically returns to its charging station and resumes cleaning once fully charged. Don't worry about interrupted cleanings anymore!
Dust container or suction station
The 420 ml dust container must be emptied regularly. You can always opt for an additional emptying station.
The robot vacuum automatically empties its dust container into the 2.5-liter bag. You only have to replace this bag about every 30 cleaning processes.
I opted for a model without a drain station, but who knows, maybe I'll get the drain station later.

The Yeedi Vac 2 Pro in test
In the included Quick Start Guide, you can read how to put the robot into operation. In any case, you first have to assemble it, which only takes 3 steps. After that, the battery is charged and then you can start.

The first impression
The scope of delivery includes the robot, a side brush, the wiping module with wiping cloth, the charging station with cable.
The robot vacuum cleaner and its station are very well-made and make a robust impression. Simply slide the switch next to the dust container under the hinged lid to "on" and you are ready for your first cleaning experience.
After installing the app, the robot starts scanning the room and creates a map. Once this is done, it can start cleaning.
The navigation and obstacle detection in the test
The manufacturer relies on vSLAM technology for navigation, which is supported by a camera and worked flawlessly in the Vac 2 Pro test. In addition, Yeedi has integrated 3D obstacle detection into the robot's design.
This works wonderfully well with large objects such as shoes, flower pots and the like. With small cables - such as the charging cable of the smartphone or Lego bricks - it is somewhat more difficult.
However, most of them are well recognized by the robot. However, you should clean up the floor anyway if you want the robot to clean thoroughly.
Suction and wiping performance
With 3,000 Pascal, this device is one of the powerful models. However, it can also get quite loud on the very highest level. On medium level, the robot is in the midfield with 58 decibels.
The bottom roller consists of bristles and silicone fins. The dust is transported into the container via them and via the side sweeping brush.
The suction result is surprisingly good for a robot in this price range and makes me really happy.
The wiping function stands out very positively. Unlike its competitors, the robot relies on a vibrating wiping module, which it can use to loosen stubborn stains. Normally, this function is mainly found in very expensive devices.

My conclusion
This device navigates unerringly through rooms, has a strong suction power and convinces with a very good wiping function. At a surprisingly low price, you get a robot that really plays all the pieces.
I would recommend this unit in a heartbeat and am happy to keep it!
