The taste is unique. They taste slightly nutty and are mega crunchy.

The super crispy chips made from Jerusalem artichokes are baked in the oven and are very low in fat.

If you want to save calories, use less oil. You don't have to drown the unbaked Jerusalem artichokes in olive oil. Apply very lightly and little, is quite enough.

Ingredients
 

  • 4 Jerusalem artichoke
  • 1 EL Olive oil
  • 1 TL Sea salt
  • 1 Branch Rosemary

Anleitung

  • Preheat the oven to 180°. Put a sheet of baking paper on the baking tray.
  • Wash the tubers with a vegetable brush or use a sponge for this purpose.
  • Cut the Jerusalem artichoke into thin slices. Put them in a bowl with olive oil. Salt.
  • Chop the rosemary. 
  • Put the chips on the tray and sprinkle them with rosemary. Put them in the oven.
  • Bake the Jerusalem artichokes for about 5 minutes. If they are already starting to brown, turn them over. Give them another 5 minutes from the other side. However, they should not be in the oven for more than 15 minutes total. Otherwise they will burn.
