Peel the potatoes and cut them into sticks about 1/2 to 1 cm thick
½ kg floury potatoes
Rinse the potato sticks under running water and then place them in a water bath for 5 minutes.
Pat the fries dry. Use a tea towel or kitchen paper for this purpose.
Put the sticks in a bowl and sprinkle the cornstarch on top.

Now add the oil. Swirl the fries in the bowl so that it is evenly distributed.

Line the baking tray with baking paper. Put them on the tray. Make sure you leave enough space between the potato sticks. Bake the fries for 20-25 minutes until crispy, turning them halfway through.
Notes
Depending on the oven, it may take a little longer or go faster. Just keep an eye on the fries.
