Hungry? I put Lion's Share to the test and tell you everything you need to know about it. This is what organic stews in a jar really taste like!

Anyone who is fit and wants to stay fit pays particular attention to their diet. A high protein content and healthy foods are at the top of the menu.

But balanced nutrition is often difficult to achieve, especially on very stressful days. That's when people tend to reach for a sauce in a jar: open it, heat it up and it's ready. But that's not particularly healthy, and the food contained in the jar is highly processed. In 99 % of the dishes, you'll find household sugar - and quite a bit of it.

At the moment, I often face exactly this time challenge. And lo and behold: my problem has been recognized. On the very same day that I start looking for extra quick and balanced recipes, I get ads from Löwenanteil.

Of course, this makes me curious and hungry. Can convenience food really be healthy? What makes it different from others? Time lion's share a test and share my experience here.

At the end of the article, you will know if Lion's Share is the right fitness food for you.

What is lion's share?

Löwenanteil is a manufacturer of fitness ready meals in organic quality. The dishes are filled into jars and are already pre-portioned. Within 3 minutes, the food should be on the table. It contains everything you need for a healthy and fit body. Complex carbohydrates, essential fatty acids, lots of protein and fiber.

There are currently seven different dishes to choose from, five of which are vegan. But there will soon be more, the founders Robin and Thomas tell me: "We want to make healthy and natural nutrition possible for everyone and have adapted our stews to sporty people."

One jar contains 570 grams, which with garnish is enough for two servings. You can store the jars unrefrigerated for a year in the pantry.

Sounds very good at first, doesn't it?

Lion share test report

My lion share test

At first glance, this sounds very suitable for me right now. Stress at work, training 3 times a week, there should still be a little free time left. I would like to treat myself to this now by saving it on cooking.

Of course, I do not feed only on lion's share, but 2x a week, when it should go quickly from sports back to the desk, I open a glass.

For my lion's share test, I click through the website. Here you can find a description of each dish and, of course, the list of ingredients. I decide on a colorful mix and choose four from the seven dishes.

My test package consists of these vegan fitness dishes:

  1. African Bowl: stew with vegan chicken based on peas
  2. Chili Vegano: Chili with lots of legumes
  3. Chickpea curry: stew with chickpeas and soy granules
  4. Lentils à la Provence: tomato lentil stew with white beans

I can pay with Paypal, credit card, Sofortüberweisung, invoice, Amazon Pay, Apple Pay or Google Pay. I choose the credit card and I'm ready to go.

By the way: from 49 euros the delivery is free. So it's worth ordering more right away. If you like it, you can also subscribe later and save 10 percent on your order.

Use discount code "wegowild10" to save 10 % off your order at lion's share and see for yourself. The discount will be automatically deducted when you click on this link.

Three days later, the delivery arrives. Now my lion's share rating can really get going.

How do I prepare the dishes?

Grab the glass of your choice. Open it and then warm up the dish.

This works either in the microwave or in a saucepan. The fastest way is in the microwave.

It takes just 5 minutes from emptying the jar into the soup bowl to the first bite. Tip: Don't forget to use a cover in the microwave - it can be quite a mess otherwise. The dish is ready in 3 minutes at 700 watts.

In the crock pot, you need to warm it up while stirring constantly so it doesn't burn. I add a good gulp of water to make it a little more liquid. That way it burns less and the side dishes can soak it up better.

If I had to prepare the dish myself, it would take me at least 40 minutes. So on days that are very stressful, this is a very good way to actually save time.

Refrigerate the jars only after you have opened them. Otherwise, you can store them normally in the pantry.

How does lion's share taste?

Probably the most important part of the Lion's Share test, right? So far, I've only had time to test the chili stew and the chickpea curry. These two tasted very good to me.

Whereby I have both stretched with a little water and not eaten "pure". The dishes are pleasantly spicy. The chili has a slightly spicy note. Because I like it hot, I still spice a bit.

If the jar did not say chili "vegano", you would not even notice that it is a vegan dish. In our office, the meat eaters were also allowed to taste and did not miss their beloved meat.

I eat rice with the chili and two pieces of walnut bread with the curry.

Of these two varieties, the chili is my favorite. The curry is also very good, but a bit too little spicy for my taste. As always, of course, food is a matter of taste.

From both dishes I can say that they are not heavy in the stomach and saturate for a long time.

Would I recommend Lion's Share to my friends? Yes, I would and I will.

The other two dishes I have to taste first. I wanted to keep the jars still closed, because so packed they remain durable for a year.

All dishes are free of flavor enhancers and additives. No sugar is added to them and the salt content is also in the normal range.

Is one glass really enough for two servings?

Honestly, not without a side dish. But if you eat something with it, then it's more than enough. In addition, I have a salad with every dish. I feel very satiated. For a very large man, however, it could be a bit little.

Try these side dishes:

  • Rice
  • Quinoa
  • Couscous
  • Wholemeal bread
  • Potatoes
  • Whole wheat pasta

With this you will definitely be full. Here in the photo you see a dish without side dish.

Lion Share Experience Report

Can you eat lion's share cold?

If it has to go really fast and there is not even time to reheat, you can eat lion's share cold. The dishes are already cooked.

When you put them in the microwave for 3 minutes, you're not cooking them, you're just heating them up.

If you don't have a hot plate or microwave handy, you can use the Dish simply spoon from the jar.

I have made for you the lion's share test cold and warm 😄. And I must say - even on very hot days it tastes better slightly warmed up. The sauce becomes a little more liquid and the flavor comes out better.

How healthy is lion's share?

In a ready meal for sporty people who eat healthy, not only the taste must fit. That's why it's very important for me to say a few words about the nutritional values in this lion's share experience. On the website you will find a nutritional value for each meal and information on how much of your daily requirement is covered by one serving.

The ingredients in the dishes are certified organic. The manufacturers put a lot of emphasis on the fact that complex carbohydrates, healthy fats and protein are in good proportion to each other. Thus, the dishes provide the right nutrients for the muscles, saturate for a long time and are optimal for those who are athletic.

But even if you only do sports in between, you may of course access. :)

How much does it cost?

A Glass with 570 grams costs 6.99 euros at lion's share. Who wants, can put together a tasting package of 12 glasses for 79.99 and thereby on 6.67 euros per glass. So 3.30 euros per main course.

To be honest, I find the lion's share of prices perfectly fine. Again and again you stumble across reviews that say that the dishes are overpriced. But organic quality costs money. And in terms of taste, the healthy ready-made food from the jar is also something to be proud of.

Lion's share test

My conclusion

My lion share test turns out surprisingly positive. I am always very skeptical about convenience foods and avoid them. However, these stews do not taste like the 0815 dishes from the jar from the supermarket.

They could actually be home cooked and taste similar to my vegan chili.

Important to know: It's not the point that you feed exclusively on it. Because, of course, that goes a long way. Treat yourself to a salad and side dishes to get a better feeling of satiety.

With currently seven main dishes, the selection is not yet so huge, but that should change soon. In addition, you should not eat the stews every day, but see them as an alternative when you need to go very quickly.

I give it a thumbs up!
