Frosé brings variety to our wine glasses! The frozen rosé wine with strawberries or raspberries taste refreshing and really delicious. Cheers to the wine slushie!

Forget iced tea, milkshake and iced coffee! And just as good Lillet Berry, Hugo and Aperol! Frosé refreshes you at least as well, tastes incredibly refreshing and is very easy to recreate.

Frosé? The word is derived from the English frozen and rosé wine. In the end, the pink drink is nothing more than a slushie with alcohol. All you need is rosé wine, water, lemon and sugar. The refreshing summer drink is ready.

In the glass lands a pink very fine ice cream mass with a large portion of Schwipps. :) The ingredients make it sweet, but at the same time pleasantly cooling.

In short, the pink drink is the perfect drink for chill girls' evenings on the balcony or in the garden.

Frosé: From New York to the whole world

The "it" drink was created last year in a trendy New York bar. The frozen rosé wine quickly took over the whole city.

At least as quickly, the trendy drink made it onto Instagram and thus its way to us. And this year, too, the frozen wine defends the first place among the alcoholic summer drinks 2017.

However, unfortunately, you still look for the delicious iced frosé on most drink menus. But that's no problem. You can make frosé yourself and quite simply.

Make your own frosé at home

Making your own frosé is quick, inexpensive and no magic. Besides, sitting on a balmy summer evening with chilling music on the balcony or in the garden is often more fun than in the club.

Make pink frozen wine yourself: Here's how

We found a great recipe for frosé without a machine. So neither ice machine nor slushie maker. All you need are ice cube trays and a stand mixer.

Who knows us, knows that we usually do without sugar. Therefore, instead of sugar syrup, we simply resort to sweet self-pureed strawberries. Alternatively, you can also use raspberries. If that's not sweet enough for you, you can add a little honey.

If you don't want to knock your socks off right away, you can also add a few regular ice cubes to the wine ice cubes. This way, the drink is less strong. You can then also enjoy a second and third glass without any problems.

Frosé preparation:

  1. Pour rosé wine into ice cube tray
  2. Wait at least 4 hours. Wine ice cubes may not freeze all the way through - this is due to the alcohol content of the drink. However, this does not matter.
  3. Place the ice cubes in a stand blender with the juice of half a lemon and the chilled strawberry juice.
  4. Crush on high speed until the frosé has the consistency of a slushie.
  5. Pour into wine glasses and serve with mint.

What you need to do now: Sit back and enjoy the girls' night out! Put your feet up and enjoy the warm summer evenings.
