Riding is not only a sport, but also a way of life. So there are some things that only we female riders understand. I'll tell you the 26 best ones here.

If you grew up on a pony farm and were already sitting on a horse when you couldn't even walk properly, you develop idiosyncrasies. Or as I call it: superpowers. :)

There are very many things that only we female riders understand. If you talk to other friends about it, they look at you in surprise - but that doesn't matter.

These 26 things only we female riders understand:

Vitamins and cereals not for you

Healthy and balanced nutrition is important to you - but only for your horse. In the evening, you sometimes have fast food or a sandwich, but your horse is always well supplied with vitamins, special muesli and carrots.

An Indian knows no pain

The broken arm does not stop you from grooming and even with the worst flu you go to visit your horse at least. Fresh air is always good!

Gifts for Blacky, Beauty and Pedro

Christmas presents for your horse - homemade treats included!

Fresh snow

The feeling of galloping through the fresh snow is simply indescribable.

Yes or no?

In winter: To shear or not to shear? That is the question here.

Dry the horse

You wonder how your horse will ever dry in this weather. By the way, a hair dryer helps, but your horse must have good nerves for it ;)

Good friends

The friends who know you really well give you things that you can use in the stable. Sweat blankets, saddle cloths, etc.

New shoes

You buy new shoes. No - they are not high heels. They are new riding boots :)

On the horse to the icicle

Your fingers and toes are ice blocks - no matter how great thermal riding boots you wear and the best fleece gloves you have, after two hours on the horse, you're sure to freeze!

The early bird catches the horse

On weekends, we don't sleep in, but book a riding lesson as early as possible.

Your vacation dreams

Beach vacation? City trip? Not with you! A two-week riding vacation in Iceland is your biggest dream. Alternatively, Western riding courses in Texas, a race through the desert with a real Arabian horse or a horseback ride on the beach at sunset are also valid.

You speak a "foreign language" to your friends

You don't know much about stock prices and that great Shakespearean programming language, but you know what a half parade, a throat strap or a "change through the whole course" is.

Everything for a clean horse

You go weekly to the manicure, to the hairdresser and have thousands of care products, but for your horse you also like to get dirty, muck out the stable and clean your white horse for hours after he has made himself comfortable in a puddle.

Hair everywhere

On your pants, in your socks, at home on the sofa: everywhere you find hair - horse hair.

The riding accessories travel with

There is also a saddle on the passenger seat of your car from time to time - quite normal. Also halter, rope, whips and treats are always there. You can use everything spontaneously. That's why most people think you're crazy or have other things on your mind - I could tell you a story about a new lunge whip in my living room, but let's not go there ;)

Styling for the horse

You have clothes just for riding and for the stable - and I don't just mean breeches and boots, but old t-shirts, sweaters and the like.

Everything for your horse

You invest most of your money no longer in yourself, but in your horse. As beautiful as the sport is, the whole thing really goes into the money!

You are a stuntwoman

When you fall off the horse, you get right back on, and ask if everyone saw the "cool stunt" ;)

Meeting place: stable

You have riding friends - and you also see them mostly only in the stable.

Horse language in everyday life

"Jaaaaa, feeeeein", "Braaaaaav" and "Laaaaaaangssssaaaaam" slips out also times with your friend / your friends. Snapping does not help, by the way, if they should be faster, but makes them rather angry ;)

You are the best

Secretly, the others never ride as well as you ;) And of course know everything better and can best handle any situation.

Kilos on the foot

The few hundred kilograms on your foot almost don't hurt anymore.

Cold? Not to me!

No one understands why you still voluntarily stay at the riding arena for hours in the current cold. But, there is just still so much to talk about ;)

 Quick to the supermarket

In the supermarket near the stable, you are known only in riding clothes.

Fit thanks to horse

You don't need a gym - you ride and that's worth more than any subscription. Besides, your horse is basically in the last end of the paddock and catching him is often like an endurance run.

You use your skills in everyday life

The "light seat" also comes in handy when riding through potholes by bike or even car.
