Ingredients
For the patties
- 1 EL chopped flaxseed
- 3 EL Water
- 1 Onion
- 400 g black beans
- 1 EL Tomato paste
- 1 EL Curry powder
- 1 TL Paprika powder
- 1/2 TL Chili salt
- 60 g fine rolled oats
- 30 g chopped walnuts
For the topping
- 4 Burger buns
- 1 Tomato
- 1 Pickle
- ½ red onion
- Salad
- 4 EL Barbecue sauce
Anleitung
For the patties
- Soak the flax seeds in lukewarm water and let them rest for about 5 minutes. They now soak up water and later ensure that the patties do not fall apart.
- Chop the onion and fry it in olive oil.
- Drain and wash the cooked black beans. Mash the beans with a potato masher. Alternatively, use a fork or food processor.
- Add tomato paste, curry powder, paprika powder, chili salt, oatmeal and walnuts.
- And finally the flax seed mixture. Knead the ingredients with your hands. Put them aside for about 5 minutes and let them sit.
- Wet your hands and form fritters. Fry them hot on both sides.
For the topping
- Cut the burger buns in half and fry them very briefly in the hot pan.
- Wash the tomato and cut it into thin slices. Chop the cucumber.
- Bring the onion into small thin slices.
- Pluck the lettuce into pieces.
- Spread the burger buns with barbecue sauce. Then comes the lettuce. Then the bean patties, followed by cucumber, tomato and onion.

Personally, the beans fill me up so much that I don't need a side dish at all. If you still feel the need, salads of all kinds are very tasty.

If you like it healthier, you can simply sauté some vegetables in olive oil and season with salt. Zucchini and peppers are particularly good for this.
